How do you repair non-BMW colors ordered through Individual?

I was wondering for those with Individual paint colors that is from another manufacturer like Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari etc... How would your body shop get the right paint match if you ever need body work done? Lets say you have a Audi Nardo Grey paint on your M3 and you need to repaint the bumper. From my understanding BMW does its own formula to come up with its own Nardo Grey so using Audi's Nardo might not be a 100% match? Just wondering because my next BMW will be a individual color for sure...

BMW puts a paint code on the door, body shop reads the paint code and makes the paint.

As he said.

Only issue would be if ordering a frozen paint color, then would require BMW Certified center to re-paint, at least my Indy shop in Charleston hasn't painted a frozen color to date.

Any good bodyshop would just need a paint sample from your car to make a paint mixture if they do not have the paint code.

We have a database full of individual colors that we paint, including frozen colors.

already thinking of the future car? what they said is accurate...nowadays, it's simply getting the car brand and color code to match paint.

Do you guys offer touch up paint products? I’m looking for some touch up for Atlantis Metallic for “just in case”

We do not as our paint is made to be sprayed with a paint gun. Plus shipping is always a concern.

Mixing paint by color code is almost never a perfect match anyway. I needed a new rear bumper at 2k total miles. The shop said the SSII code produced a 95% match. They used a spectroanalyzer to read the color of the gas cap I had dropped off with them. That produced a 100% match. Any paint shop worth your patronage will have the right equipment for an excellent match.

Not following this question, who uses individual color from other manufacturers? BMW has their own individual color with color code in the door jam of the car which any paint shop can pull it up.
