I was looking how modern street cars compares with race cars from the past at the ring and I came across this beauty, so stop whining about the GTS wing, it's relatively modest for a track focused car...

Impressive, yes. But, it’s worth noting that the car that set the time wasn’t a production car. Honda used a development car that was virtually the same as the production car, besides the lack of a front seat, air conditioning and audio equipment. Additionally, Honda added a roll cage that was there for safety reasons and not to add rigidity.

No, That is a Chapparal 2F. It was a full racecar produced by Jim Hall in the late 60s. That picture was taken during test at Nurburgring in 1967.

No one said you are not entitled to a silly opinion. It's a protected right, guaranteed to you by way of your internet forum membership. Many before you have fought for this right, suffered the abuse and bullying of heavy handed junior forum moderators on a power trip and were even suspended or completely banned just for you to have such an opinion today, so I get it. It's your right. I'm just commenting on how silly that is, seeing that you most likely have not lived with the car/exhaust for any extended periods of time, for you to have formed a "credible" + "opinion". Unless of course your opinion is based on youtube clips or cell phone footage played back on laptop computer speakers, in which case that is totally acceptable. It's like a virgin having an opinion about sex. But hey, who am I ... opine away dude. Put it this way. If you were standing in the presence of this M4 GTS, track side at the Nurburgring, or even sitting inside the damn thing revving the hell out of it and pushing it hard around the N'ring corners and elevations ... I find it very hard to believe you would call the exhaust sound farting. It's much easier to say silly stuff like that on the internet (hiding behind an reasonably stated "opinion"), from behind a keyboard. A lot of the sound range and depth is lost in the recording and playback mediums. For the record, I was one to knock the f80/82 exhaust sound myself, and had even arranged for purchase of an M performance exhaust before I even took delivery of my car. That's how bad I thought the stock sound was from all the stupid recordings you hear online. I'm here to tell you I was wrong, and so are you. Yes, dead wrong. Your opinion is based on faulty intelligence. Having lived with my f80 M3 for 3,300 miles now, I have no plans on putting that MPE on. I have since heard the exhaust cold start, warm start, cold and warm start in efficient and sport mode, rev high, rev down low, WOT, 50% throttle, cruising highway speeds, crawling at city traffic speeds. I've heard it idle, I've heard it redline. I've heard the sound on drive-bys and heard the sound while I drove it through tunnels and under bridge passes myself! I'm in the trenches. I live, eat, drink, sleep and dream of these sounds. I've heard its growly and occasionally raspy heartbeat every-fucking-day! And I'm just here to say that your opinion is nothing but internet -fabricated, fresh, farm animal, USDA prime ... excrement. Because the s55 engine and stock M3/M4 exhaust together, sound f'ing AWESOME! IMO. I have very few doubts this M4 GTS will sound any different, if not even better! GT3 RS is sex on wheels. Thing looks phenomenal. Looks and sounds and performs the part. Plus it has 345 kg of downforce at 125 mph.
