BMW M Track Day - Lime Rock Park

I got the email, but won't be able to make any of the sessions since i'll be on vacation. I will point out that the email specifically says at the bottom...

"This offer is exclusively for <<my name>> and may not be shared. Eligibility will be verified."

so if you signed up without an email, then you might want to confirm before you trek up to lime rock.

I attended a bmw track day two summers ago at pocono raceway and its a lot of fun. Likely, it will be a follow-the-leader format, or a really tight autocross, but who knows. I highly doubt they'd just set some random person loose with a high powered sports car on a real race track. No helmets in that event... and I doubt you'll need one for this one.

I doubt you need a helmet. The don't use helmets at M school so I doubt it here.

A few minutes ago I spoke with a rep from BMW that is tied to this event. In short, here is what I learned.

Outside of a drivers license, no additional equipment or items are required (including a helmut).

All attendees will be driving an M car.

Total event time is 6 hours.

If you registered and receive a confirming e-mail, you should be locked into the session.

Guests can attend but not participate in the event.

At the bottom of the original message did contain a statement "This offer is exclusively for xxx and may not be shared. Eligibility will be verified.". I didn't notice this when I posted the original message. However, call the event number 866‑231‑4269 and confirm your registration. The rep should be able to confirm your attendance.

The Thermal location provides helmets if you don't have your own, but they were only used on the big track (not on autocross, drift, or drag race.)

Red lion inn or Briarcliff motel are good. Haven't heard of any other ones in the area.

I think so too- tried to sign up, no luck. Time Slot drop down stays empty regardless of day selected.

I'm going for 11am on July 8. Staying at the Mountain View Hotel in Great Barrington. It's about 40 minutes away. I got their last room when I made the reservation. Don't know if anything may have opened up. The few hotels near the track were very expensive.
