Anyone know of any decent accommodations nearby? I am from Cape Cod but will be in Albany the day before for business, so I will need a place to stay prior to my Tuesday am appointment.

I'm signed up for the 13th. Can anyone provide insight into their experience? I've attended the 2 Day Advanced M School at Thermal earlier in the year. Interested to see what this experience is like at the local course.

There is few places in great Barrington that are not bad, and not too expensive. there is the red lion inn and Briarcliff motel is good too, there's a few other places that looked like they were rated pretty well.

I never even got my video. The day was awesome. Was very impressed with the M2 on the track. Was 3rd place in my group on the autocross. Not bad considering one guy in my group was an instructor. Need to do more of these track days...so fun.

I agree with your statement of "the day was awesome". I really enjoyed all of the events. Though if I was to pick a favorite, it would be track time with the M2. Being a M4 owner, I would agree with the magazine reviews, it is easier to drive on the track. Hopefully BMW will host the event next year. If so, someone post the link on this website.

What time did you guys clock on autoX? w.r.t. M2 - I was really looking forward to driving and loving that car on track, alas, I left slightly disappointed with M2. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, but I was somehow expecting to enjoy it at least as much as the M3/4s, and I didn't. M2 was great under breaking, but squirmy under acceleration out of the uphill chicane when M3 was rock solid though that section (despite more torque from S55). Also, every time I clipped the rumble strips in the Esses or on no-name straight, M2's suspension would get unsettled and trigger DSC light show, while again, M3 chassis was more stable and able to absorb bumps without drama throughout. Track map: http://www.limerock.com/files/pdf/Ju...lyWorldMap.jpg I was in MDM mode in all cars, per instruction to keep some form of traction control ON at all times. a
