IMO, the sound is completely underwhelming - sounds sort of like a choked S54. But I'm sill curious to hear one in person.

Please don't insult the S54 like that lol, the E46 M3 was a "real" M3 with a legendary motor and a legendary soundtrack.
Beyond it's good performance, the S55 is shit and no longer a bespoke motor, it's a pumped up N55 which is already an outdated and underwhelming slab.

I still do not think this sounds good at all. I would rather have the quietest exhaust possible to hide the fact that it's embarrassingly too similar to this:

Damn, Dart sounds respectable!

My e9x M brothers can't help themselves, the bitterness is showing. I hope everyone gets to drive the new car, it's very very good. I held onto my m3 until I could drive one, it's honestly a better car and more fun, I'm not a new car or FI cheerleader by any means.

C63 owners are laughing on the forum and I don't blame them. Quartermile wise it's a drivers race between a C63 507 with headers and the new M4 (in fact I reckon the C63 maybe slightly quicker!).

Really hope that some other exhaust manufacturers out there can improve the sound.

EDIT: Just saw that video of the Dodge Dart - no comment.

It does sound good, but for that price I'd rather have an Eisenmann race with downpipes...something that will actually make power..

While the looks of the new M4 are slowly growing on me, that sound is flat out terrible. Whatever tho, to each their own.
