I also have a modified V8 Lexus, and it has a pleasant deep rumble too. Next up, hopefully a Porsche, or maybe even an AMG for a short stint....because with a tune, they're monsters (and have all kinds of deep snorts and farts when backfiring). But this E93, especially if I decide to supercharge it, it may be with me for a long, long time.....because that engine and exhaust note, they're intoxicating. |

The GT350 is a whole other animal, one of the best sounding engines under $100k for sure. |

It handles like a boat, but sounds nice, and looks pretty damn good. The E93, I just can't get enough....love even going to get groceries in that thing. And I was very fortunate to have taken over an M4 lease, a car loaded with mods....which I made a pretty penny on when I "sold" the car. Actually, the guy bought the car from BMW of course, but I sold all the mods in the transaction and made a pretty penny. So, for me, I actually made money on my M4 lease assumption. If you find the right car, and then find the right buyer....things can work out. |

I guess everyone's subjective tastes are different. I had an E93 for 80,000 miles. Fantastic car.
I now have a 2018 M3 Competition, with the M Performance Exhaust. As much as I wish I could have kept both, there is no way I'd go back to the E93. The driving dynamics are definitely on another level with the F80, especially with the ZCP (although comparing the 3,600 lb. F80 to a 4,140 lb. E93 is apples-to-oranges, in fairness). I have however driven the E92 on the track and autocross, and the F80 is still much improved in driving dynamics (the F80 being only about 100lbs lighter, similarly-equipped, instead of 500 lbs. lighter). Now granted - I had the stock exhaust on my E93 - so not really fair to compare the M Performance Exhaust on the F80 vs. the stock E93 exhaust. That being said, sound wise the MPE on the F80 is way cooler sounding that the stock E9x (although an E93 with the top down and an MPE or aftermarket exhaust I'm sure would sound amazing). In any event, enjoy the E93 - it's a great car! |
