i did not. looks like next week. it's a bit irritating that some people made it on ships before we did when their cars arrived in port after ours - even when those same ships are continuing on to our ports of call. for as much just in time production that bmw does, the actual shipping to ports seems to fall way behind

I hear you. I actually had a nice chat with the Genius who was sympathetic to the situation. He indicated that while there is a system in place for prioritizing/loading the ships, it doesn't seem to always be clear how it exactly operates.

I imagine it has more do to with the contracted carrier than BMW. Not sure how cars are assigned to which carrier, but this probably occurs way upstream of arrival at Bremerhaven.

I am a couple days behind you, the Faust is due to arrive at Southampton tomorrow before heading for New York. The original ETA of 2/8/17 for NY has been pushed back to 2/10/17.

FWIW, my car is headed to Port of Bayonne (Its in NJ but I believe W&W considers it the New York Port). Not on a boat yet but here is the schedule. Really hoping for the 7th and not the 1st

jzmundy - have you checked today? i called genius to see if they knew if i had been assigned a ship yet (was thinking for tomorrow or 2/1 ships) and found out I DID make it on the Orion Highway after all - didn't show up in the system until yesterday!

that's awesome news. supposed to arrive in charleston on 2/12 and to the VPC hopefully by 2/13 according to genius

Sweet! Awesome news. Definitely sign up for the free 14 day trial of Fleetmon. Right after giving CC info, simply go into your subscription settings and cancel. It then states that you have 14 days to use it for no charge.

You'll lose track of the ship once its 50-100 miles beyond the UK unless you use a satellite tracking service.

I signed up for the Fleetmon trial, but can't get ANY ships to show up in the tracker. Am I missing something??

EDIT: Nevermind, got it. Looks like Orion Highway isn't updating as regularly as some other vessels.

Does anyone know how long the car will spend at the receiving port before hopping on a carrier to a dealer? Assuming the boat is on time, I'm expecting a February 8th arrival. Including a few stops, it is a 5 hour trip from Baltimore to my dealer in Pittsburgh. Too optimistic to hope for pickup at the dealer the following weekend?

I think that's reasonable if there is no shipping damage and you have no (or few) port-installed accessories.

Zero port options. I'd love an MPE, but perhaps down the road. We are expecting our third child in less than a month (I get two new babies in February), and I'm already concerned with what the cold start is going to sound like in my garage. Having test driven an M3 with and without one a few months ago, it is significantly louder even at idle with the MPE. Granted, both of those were ZCPs and mine is not, but I'll need to stay in the good graces of my wife in these first few months at the least, and keep the baby-waking to a minimum.

Based on the timeline below, best case is 5 days, worst case is 12 days.

What an exciting month for you! Congrats!!

I'm anxious for Feb programming to be released tomorrow. That will determine if I take delivery when the car arrives or tell the dealership to hold onto it until March.

Please clarify for me. I'm having accessories installed at the VDC and I have a PCD. Is there a VDC in Charleston or does the car have to go somewhere else before it gets to the PC?
