Believe there is a strong case for underrating of the S55, and the ECU in a hot dyno room may be adding boost to increase air density. This video shows the way Dinan dynos (using both an engine dyno and a wind-tunnel simulated at the hub dyno). The S65 dynos I've seen that have included logging of timing, A/F, IATs and ambients show that these parameters are far below optimal power production points (does not appear to be the case with this EAS dyno given power produced). When you watch the video you'll see that makes quite a bit of sense considering the S65 has a 12:1 compression ratio and Dinan believes that the S65 puts out as much power as BMW claims. Also, note using Dinan's engine and hub dyno testing the N55 with powerpack is underrated by BMW, which leads me to believe that the S55 is also similarly underrated.
