Did a similar thing, I put in a Dinan Stage 1 to overcome the weight difference at least for straight line acceleration. Will probably put in Stage 2 at some point. No getting around it, this car hauls ass! Someone posted some side by side track times once and the F83 was remarkably close to the F80. Closer than you would think. Certainly within the "driver is the difference" window. Gotta see if I can find that...

i'm assuming "he go me" moments were on the longer straights, i had few various runs with f10 m5 and was pulling on quick bursts and he would slowly reel me in on very long straights but never passed.

PS f80 m3 dct with some mods, about 500 rwhp, so about same power as m5

yeah, well I don't have (those) mods, plus am 500 lbs piggy ... but for the M5 truthers, they forget that paper and pavement are totally different things
