I've owned several Lexus cars myself and was thinking the same thing. Looks good on this car but not sure it looks better than stock. Feels like the new version of those tail lights everyone started putting on any and all cars in the early 2000's... what were they called? Oh yes, Euro Tail lights!

Don't understand why most people would hated the blackline, they were OEM from BMW not after market products.

Just personal taste I think. Don’t hate it just don’t think it’s better than what we have.

It technically is a stock option in Europe (and the lights are OEM BMW)...

I was also coming from the pre-LCI taillights. If I had an LCI car with the regular red-cased lights I highly doubt I would have made the switch.

But I do have a pre-LCI car that I'm planning on keeping until the G80 drops and I wanted to do something a bit different and the blackline really fits mineral grey well.

They also look incredible in person (again, a la the stock Porsche and Audi clear/blackline taillights.). I just don't see any resemblance to those Lexus or other aftermarket lights :

Nope. That was a janky design where this is cleanly executed. Nice try tho...

My was LCI and just don't like the look on red blinkers, no regret getting the Blackline version at all.

Nice! They're not very common in North America! Here they are on my MW F30.

If one has the 2018 f80, what is needed to do this swap?
Just hardware of lens and coding? No need for additional modifications since I already have LCI?

It's an option from the factory in Europe, correct?

Sorry not a fan, reminds me of some cheap eBay lights.

But hey, it's your car and your money, as long as you like it, it's all that matters

Not in person... They really don't look any different from the stock LCI lights, minus the fact that the casing is clear instead of red. Difficult to appreciate from photos and even video

I'm not sure to be honest. But they're only sold in Europe from the dealership. I asked a Canadian dealership and they said they couldn't order it. Thank goodness for eBay!

That should be fine. You may not even need coding if you already have the LCI lights. I think they are the same exact thing, except these have a clear casing instead of red

I did them on my 18 F80. Very easy just plug and play. They look awesome!

I think these would look a lot better if the red portion was also clear/smoke just like the Camaro ZL1 1LE and Corvette Z06 taillights.

Either way, hoping to see them in person before I pull the trigger.

I like them. However, I think it would have been cool if the bars themselves were clear whilst not in use.

If you have LCI lights it's a straight plug and play. If you're on pre-LCI you have to use a harness and drip trails.
