VF Engineering should still be around since it's just after 5pm on the West Coast. Have you tried calling them?

It looks like you skipped the last part of Step 6 on Page 2
in the instructions; to “write coding data”.

It’s a very quick fix. Should take less than :10 seconds.

Hi I plugged it back in but I don't see the option on write coding data.

Do I have to flash it again to get that option?

Found it! Error message gone.

Question : how come the overrun burble crackle sounds is so inconsistency? sometimes I hear it it and sometimes I don't unless I restart the car.

It's calibrated in the same manner as any ZCP / CS /or/ GTS model.

There are temperature controls/limits (high and low) which influence
the functionality of the throttle overrun. I'm not certain what sort of
"inconsistency" you're experiencing, but I am fairly confident that
over the next few days of driving you will start to see that it's not
as inconsistent as it may seem, but rather specific conditions/scenarios
where the sounds may be more or less prominent.

Yet another tip of the hat to BM3 who allows you to control all of your settings and not just what some dude sitting behind a desk feels is best suited for the general public.

Until you realize that the tables which control the throttle overrun
also influence drivability, cat temperatures, O2 sensors, etc...

The same guy sitting behind the desk is also one of the guys who
is involved in the testing process (on the dyno and out in the real
world on the road
) monitoring key variables and temperatures at
different speeds and under various loads.
