Install took less than 10 mins, but I just used the hammer method, then took a flat head screw driver to work the tip off.

Super easy install!

I'll admit one thing boys and this was upon further inspection. And its a minor issue, but it happened to my car and my buddies. And we both installed our own tips, and tried everything to adjust. It seems as though the left side has a better stagger between the tips. And the exhaust tips on the right side seem to be more flush with each other. It is very minor, but we both tried everything on both our cars and there was nothing that could be done to fix it. Take a look at the top view picture and compare left to right and you will kind of be able to see what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the honest review. One thing I'm also concerned about is if these are gloss black paint and not black chrome how will they handle with time after a few washes etc. Will they still be as shiny or will they start to show early signs of wear.

I used the back side of the hammer and wedged it between the OEM tip and muffler tip. Then I used a screw driver and worked it around, and then with my other hand was used to jiggle and pull the OEM tip out. I'm not going to lie if you have the right tools, exhaust tip puller (prong setup) much easier, and can keep tips in good condition. I really didn't care about the OEM tips, and I didn't want to go out to get a tool. So I got crafty and it took me all of about 10 mins lol

A lot of people used the hammer, and then a rubber mallet and just keep tapping. Then you should be able to pull out the tip. That process requires patience, and more elbow grease. Call me lazy!

Not that I'm an expert. But I purchased gloss black exhaust tips from Cyba for my E92 M3, and those looked good. But over time they did lose their glossiness (No way trying to put down Cyba, and his new tips could be improved). It still looked good, but wasn't like day one. When I compare those to the ones from BMS, the quality of the BMS seems much better. Only time will tell how they hold up to heat, car washes, elements, etc. But for $199 they look great, and I would call it more of a black chrome than gloss black. Now if they fix the alignment issue on right side, than these would be a steal. And now that I looked closer at pictures posted by the vendor, I do see the same issue, just wish it was voiced. But its not the end of the world.

Do you think the bumper could be moved in or out a little bit by adjusting the 4 screws that hold the diffuser?

I don't think it's the diffuser or bumper issue, it has to do with the guides on the stock muffler tip. Or it's an issue with the BMS tips themselves. This is causing the left side tips to maintain the OEM look of the outside tip sitting further in, while the inner tips typically come out a little more. But on the right side the two tips almost seems like there is no stagger. Again not end of the world, but just so you know for future buyers. If I could go back I would still order the same tips if that helps haha.

Also purchased these and installed them this past weekend. I have an Alpine White M4 with the M Performance diffuser and they look fantastic. Really keep the OEM-type look which was important for me.

They look way, way larger than the stock tips, FYI. I was pretty shocked by the size difference in person, but they look great and just like a more aggressive version of OEM, not aftermarket at all. I'll try and grab some pictures soon to add to the thread.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I understand that the color is more like black chrome, but it makes a difference in terms of durability if the tips are actually coated with a layer of black chrome rather than gloss black paint.

About the alignment, I can see that if you look at the tips from the top you can see that there is a slight difference, however is it noticeable at all if you are looking at the car from the back (Which is where in reality you'll be viewing them from)? From the pictures atleast it doesn't seem to be visible at all.

You can not tell from head on from the rear of the car, or else it really would've bothered me to be honest. The only reason why I'm making it clear is because I originally stated product was 100%. But upon closer inspection, it was more like 95% haha. Not the end of the world, but from the back and side angle tips look perfect and car looks very aggressive! And as for color we will all just have to wait and see .

Your tips align perfect with OEM like stagger? Or did you run into same issue as me?

Mine had a BMS logo on the very bottom of the tip. You would have to go under the car in order to attempt to see it. IDK if it was just on the gloss black tips, or if all colors have the branding. Again the branding is not visible from plain site when installed!

This is interesting you bring this up. On the left side there were no issues at all, just slid them on and they sat perfectly.

On the right side, I had to readjust a bit so they would slide in all the way and now do have symmetric, OEM stagger. What happened was that the inner wall of the tips gets caught on the end of the exhaust piping when your sliding them on, which causes the tip to stick out further at a slight offset, and not settle all the way into place on the spring clips. And again this only happened on the right side for some reason, but what I had to do was be extra careful to make sure the inner lip of the tip was aligned perfectly with the end of the exhaust pipe and then it slid into place correctly.

If you reach your hand in you can feel if the end of the exhaust piping is caught "inside" the inner rim of the tip on one side and then it becomes obvious which direction it's not aligned correctly.

Once you get this sorted out though they look awesome.
