Week 14 Build confirmed today!

Received confirmation of my week 14 build today.

Build as follows:

2016 M4 Coupe
- Black Sapphire Metallic
- Silverstone Full Merino Leather
- Premium Package (Rear view Camera, Park Distance Control Front-Rear, Heads-up Display, Sirius XM)
- Executive Package (Surround View, Active LED Headlights)
- Technology Package (Universal Remote, High Beam Assistant, Active Blind Spot Detection, Driving Assistant)
- Connected Drive Services Professional with ARTTI (BMW Online, Advanced Real Time Traffic, Concierge, Remote Services, Internet, BMW Connected Drive Services Package)
- DCT
- Adaptive M Suspension
- Carbon Fiber Trim
- Speed Limit Info

It's going in Production much sooner than I anticipated. So if all goes well I should get it in early-mid May instead of end of May like I originally though.

Needless to say that I can't wait...

Nice build, congrats!

Ask BMW about your connected package. 2016 cars came with that package as default.

Great combo. Fully loaded and unique.

As I was reading thru the specs, I thought "Oh, he called this and that by the wrong name, silly man". Then I saw you're in Canada and they obviously call them something else in USA. Haha. Must be a pain for BMW marketing to keep countries straight.

Congratulations on production number.

What's the deal with this? I thought "included" for 2016 meant you get only a year of service au gratis. If you still opt for the $500 option, you get a 4- or 5-year subscription. Can anyone confirm or correct?

The hardware is included by default. What the $500 gets you vs not selecting the package is up in the air and I don't recall seeing a definitive answer to this.

Probably best to contact BMW Canada to find out and close the loop.

Here is a link to a previous thread. It was also left open ended.

Congrats. Mine was Week 12 and it is already finished and in transit. My SA said I should see it by end of April. So hopefully being two weeks behind me your time for pickup should be accurate. . Exciting times!

Can't wait to see it coming. After 1.5 years of driving a Ford Escape during a voluntary "slim down our expenses" this will be such a change.

Getting into the Escape after a 2008 335xi and a 2011 X3 was such a downer but had to do it to comfort my wife. The Escape is lifeless and pretty depressing for a "driver" like me. Now these days are coming close the end.

I almost pulled the trigger on the MG. Was one of 3 choices: BSM, MG, SO were my choices. Congrats to you also by the way! I'm telling you, this will be an awesome summer ;-)

My car on its way!

Okay, good news.

I called BMW Canada and they confirmed that my car made it on the Metis Leader and now on its way to Halifax.

It will reach the port of Halifax on April 22nd.

Hopefully it will not sit on the yard for too long waiting to be dispatched waiting for a train...

Can my car be here already?

Week 10 to week 15... wow the wait must have been unbearable.

Still 15 days to wait... That's a long time given that you are expecting it for such a long time.

The wait is killing, but the delays looks normal for me...the car was built on March 22th, then prepared for shipping, trucked to Bremerhaven (820 km north of Munich) then put on the ship for the 30th...I think it's longer to have from Halifax to Montreal.

Yes, fingers crossed for you.

I feel like when I was a kid on Christmas eve... It didn't happened to me since a very long time to feel like that... It's actually a good feeling ;-)

I guess I was lucky.
My car was born officially on April 4th and it's already on the ship.

This means that every transits were timed perfectly so far. Hopefully it will not stall in Halifax for too long. I don't think the car has extra work to be done at port since all my options should have been installed at the factory.

The only additionnal work to the car will be done at the dealer to prepare the car for delivery, remove all the protections installed for the shipping. Usually it takes 48 hours...and then the fun beggins.

Yes, car insurance companies in Quebec, at least quite a few, are now requiring some sort of tracking device to be installed in the car in case it gets stolen.

I think some companies are making it mandatory when the vehicle is above a certain value.

Here their web site: http://tagtracking.ca
