but not in base M4, which sounds pretty good if stereo is loud enough. But even the ZCP exhaust sounds pretty cool with all the farts and backfires.

Might as well compare a 918 Spyder with an M6 Comp while they're at it. 911R is a street version of a GT3RS with a Manual (possibly the best modern purist Porsche ever made), while an M4 GTS is a track focused BMW with a DCT. Both cars are unobtainable for most.

I didn't watch the vid, but seems like a waste of time.

If both are the same price, it would be a no brainer - 911R, duh. Now the 991.2 GT3 will have a manual, 4.0L NA Flat 6, and the similar price as an M4 GTS. The choice is still easy assuming one can get on the long list.

Leaning on the GTS while wearing jeans. Closed video.

Laughable comparison really. Nobody in a position to buy either car would choose a compromised M4. But this brings to attention something I really think BMW needs to look into. We have the i cars. The X cars. The FWD minivans. We get it, they pay the bills and lower CO2 emissions. But all of this surely buys enough fun money to cater to the raging enthusiast group. Let's have an M3 or M2 GTR or something. NA motor, hydraulic steering, 6sp manual, LSD/RWD, high RPMs, noisy, tactile, big fender flares, hardcore seats, etc.
