I have a '15 m3, if I were to get a new m3, it would be ZCP all the way. I would even forgo executive. You just get a lot for your money with the ZCP.

I had a non-ZCP F82 for almost 3 years. I drove a ZCP F82 at the PDC in South Carolina on the short road course and braking sections two weeks ago. We got to accelerate as hard as we could from a standstill in between breaking exercises. The pro BMW drivers took us for a hot lap on the full course in a ZCP F80. I've been driving a ZCP F83 since then, including 600+ miles on some of North Carolina's best driving roads.
IMO, the ZCP is a huge improvement. I have no idea how some on the forum have indicated otherwise. The car handles better, gets the power down better, and still rides very nice. What little impact there is on ride quality, is way more than made up for in performance. The ability to keep traction when coming out of a turn is night and day. I'd pay the money without getting all of the pretty pieces. The icing is the exhaust. It's much better, lower, louder, with tons of overrun. I haven't heard any videos that really capture the difference. My only frustration is that I didn't get access to this three years ago. |

Helps you put the power down better when the top is down due to the weight shifting to the rear AND you get to hear the exhaust better Win-Win Situation

Meh, it's your money buy what you want. All you will get here are owners justifying their own purchasing behavior. If the zcp speaks to or if you drive by one and will say "I should have..." then by all means get it.

Don't buy the ZCP. That way, there will be less of them around and when i get mine, it will be worth a tad more on the resale market.

I was concerned about ride quality of the zcp mainly cause I didn't want to hear my wife complaining about it in my ear every time she rode with me but it turned out to be fine. A good suggestion by some regional members was to go to a local meet and catch a ride to see the difference which I thought was a great idea.

Get the ZCP, so many nice touches, much better exhaust, and the ride to me is great, coming from a slightly lowered Audi S4 on 19s, it feels more comfortable surprisingly.

ZCP of course unless you plan your own extensive track mods.
So ... get the last year F80 M3 with ZCP in individual Imola Red with black leather and red stitching. DCT or 6MT either is great. Exec Pack and of course Carbon Fiber roof. Take good care of her, clear bra, etc,... and PM me when you decide to sell in a few years. |

I wish BMW would offer a "Performance Power Kit" that enabled some of the ZCP features such as engine overrun and differential settings. They have these packages for non-M cars; do we think they will offer this for F8X's prior to the CP option?

Most ppl that suggest going non-ZCP either have early model years that didnt offer this option, so in turn they are just HATERS, or they had plans to do their own custom setup for wheels/suspension and tuning, so the cost was better spent buying what they desired.
Simple answer for you pal.... if you can afford to add the package without sacrificing things like the Executive Package (Heads up display is life changing), then there is no need to hesitate; hands down buy ZCP. Enough said. |

If you plan to do the following the ZCP is a waste:
coding tuning suspension down pipes The ony nice part I see is the seats but other than that seems to be a waste if you aren't keeping the car stock.

I've read that six times (actually now seven, just read it again as I am typing this), and am still not completely convinced it isn't just a random string of words.
