Bonnet adjustment?

Hi are there any guides on adjusting your bonnet? When I try and close mine the passenger side goes down ok but the drivers side needs a REALLY hard push to engage it!! I notice there is a small plastic bump stock and metal loop on each side - do these need adjusting?
