Buyers in my area believe in KBB/Edmunds. Sold my cars that way on CL within a couple of weeks or month. I've seen cars at higher price than mine stayed on CL a lot longer.

I would guess mid $50ks if you can find someone that wants/appreciates the Dinan tune. Might take a bit longer to find someone in-market for a Dinan car but I'm sure you can find someone that appreciates it. The M/// parts won't get you much money back, best parting those out.

An easier sell would be to revert the entire thing to stock and sell Dinan exhaust/tune separately and price the car in low $50ks.

Maybe test the market with everything as-is and then just know that parting it out is going to be a reasonable plan-b.

After extensive research I think $32,000 is the right price...send me the wire info! In all seriousness I would start with Autotrader prices etc, and then drop it 2,000 from there...for a quick sale. If you're not in a rush start a little higher. I am someone who gives my stuff away when I am done though. Not worth showing it to multiple parties, or wasting my time, time is too valuable (as I type a three page response).

Just did a quick search and found cars that are certified from BMW that are similar in equip and miles, priced around 53k. Several cars priced around 48-50k...so I would price the car around 46-48k, and sell around there too. People are going to negotiate down with the mods, even if they want them...they will use them as a tool to negotiate down. I'd stand firm around 48k and wait for the buyer that finds value in those mods.

Lots of cars coming off lease now, so there is plenty of inventory, you'll just have to wait for the guy that wants the mods...in which case you could fetch 5x,xxx?

I'd say $49,000-$51,000 is where I'd start you're asking price. I think realistically you can expect the ball park range of probably selling it for around $47,000-$50,000.

EDIT: Does the car have the Executive Package? I've read from numerous forum owners on here who sold or in the process of selling their car that the lack of it made selling the car much harder than if it had it. That may be worth noting just as FYI since you're asking for feedback on selling the car.

Also, I just checked KBB for the value and it was spot on to what I posted above

$48,109 ($964/month)*
Private Party Value
$46,054 - $50,163

Good luck with the sale!

Don’t settle for 42. High 40s will be fair and realistic for a relatively quick sale.

IMO the best thing to do is go to Carmax, get an offer, and use that as your baseline.

I wonder how cloth seats will be effect the sale. I personally would appreciate them but i think most prefer leather on an M car.

Funny as e46 M3 slick tops are now unicorns lol

Having just sold my 2016, I can say that the market is really weak, and $45-$47 is about the most to expect with that many miles, and no competition package. Aftermarket tunes, even Dinan, don't generate much of a return on investment.

I would part out and price the stock car around 45k for quick sell. The car is only going to depreciate more the longer it sits unsold since supply seems to outrun demand.

I am guessing the car has no exec pkg judging by the cloth interior, which to me meana 2k lower than a comparable car to start with.

Good luck anyway.

$45k. The car was ~$65k brand new MSRP - assuming no discounts - and is now ~3.5 years old in terms of model year.

The best thing you can have going for is the low miles and clean condition, both of which are great.

Bingo, Joe you hit it on the nose $45K is pretty much what he can get in the market at this time.

Part it out OP and sell it to Carmax. That spec with no backup camera is going to be a tough sell (I know from experience)

Is it alpine white with HK stereo and rear sunshades by any chance

Exactly. Several DOZEN potential buyers passed on mine because it didn't have the Exec Package, and thus didn't have a silly back up camera

AYKM?
