AW 6MT Build Thread
2017 BMW M3- ordered December 9, 2016
Took delivery March 7, 2017 Options/build: Alpine white, Carbon cloth, 6MT, Lighting Package, Carbon trim, Carbon roof, Port installed Black kidney grills and MPE with carbon tips. Modifications: One of the very first orders I placed was Through IND for Paint matched reflectors, Macht Schnell springs(which was temporary) and Macht Schnell 12mm spacers all the way around. For my wheels I ended up going with HRE FF15 finished in tarmac, I had seen them up close a few times and really liked the way they went with the car. I ended up wrapping them with the all NEW Michelin Pilot Sport 4's (which I absolutely LOVE!) I had to wait about a month for the tires but it was well worth the wait! Highly recommend if you haven't already purchased them. From the very start I knew I wanted to replace the lugs and do a stud conversion kit. There are tons of stud kits out there but having seen MRG race co Ti Studs I knew I had to have them. They are as light as a feather and look amazing poking out of the wheel. I went with the 82mm kit because I am currently running a 12mm spacer and the 75mm set wouldnt really show much. Thanks to MRG Race Co One of my favorite mods! its all about the little details My second round of MODS I went and ordered all the pieces from Sam over at Mode Carbon and I was blown away at how beautiful the pieces came out. I ordered GTS lip, M4 style spoiler, and R2 rear diffuser and each piece ca,e out perfect and really made the car look aggressive Thank you Sam@ModeCarbon Now time for the interior I ended up placing another order With IND for all the interior pieces. I went with the alcantara steering with blue center stripe, M-performance shift knob with tri-stich, and M-performance e-brake with tri-stich boot. I wanted the interior to be simple and clean I already opted for M-Performance Exhaust which sounded amazing but I felt wasn't really that loud/ aggressive sounding as some of the exhaust set-ups I've heard so I ended up looking for a good valve controller to keep the valves open at all time and not keep closing at low rpms. I went with the Macht Schnell EVC and completely fell in love with the MPE. Since the Macht Schnell EVC clears downpipe codes I thought id take advantage of that feature. I placed an order for VRSF catless downpipes through extreme power house and I am very happy with my purchase Time for More power This was one of the hardest decisions I had for this car, The F8X are already crazy fast but I wanted something that gave it just a little more pep. I wanted to flash tune it but really didn't want to risk reliability. I ended up going with the ESS E-Tronic tuner which I am more than happy with. Install was very easy! Took me about half an hour just making sure everything fit perfect and another 20 mins tucking everything away so you couldn't see any wires. There are 3 Maps and a +/- so you can put it to full power or lower it if it was to much. For me, FULL POWERlove the tune Originally, I wasn't really looking to get an intake, but after seeing some crazy builds at HRE open house I changed my mind quick. I went with the Eventuri intake and purchased through EAS. The quality of the intake was simply amazing. install was a breeze and really made the induction noise addicting. the sound this intake makes is amazing. very happy with the product not only for the sound but also for the quality. the carbon weave is pure eye candy there is a lot more to come, and im definitely looking forward to updating this thread and hopefully meeting some of you out there Follow my Instagram @F80_patrickmurray Last edited by F80_patrickmurray; 07-11-2017 at 12:51 AM.. |

Congratulations! Forget about all the downsizing BS and just use a photo-hosting service like imjur. It's free and makes posting on forums breeze - no more downsizing, attaching jpegs, etc.
