Right, but having a Priority 1 Individual color wouldn't add the usual 4 week delay to the build... oh well.

It was my top choice. Loved it on the M5 I saw last year. The Priority 1 incentivized pricing and the fact it wouldn't delay my build had me sold! Looks like I'll have to pony up the extra $3100 and wait an extra month... First world problems, right?

$4K off MSRP is less than $500 above invoice... (according to TrueCar)

...and folks are bragging about getting $500 over invoice...

In any case, my dealer has worked pretty hard in conjunction with BMWNA and BMWI to get all of this done. Individual "Restricted" Paint, Custom Leather, and the full suite of M-Perf accessories all installed at the POE BEFORE I take delivery. No small challenge. We've been working on this since last August...

I think I'll keep my dealer...

Yeah, you keep thinking that.

7% to 7.5% below MSRP is invoice.

You're a few thousand off...but at 113k whats the difference.

LOL at last august...

Wait is that right? Invoice should be ~7-8% less than sticker so with all those options (excluding perhaps the individual items but including M Perf Parts).

According to Truecar, factory invoice on a base M4 is $61115. MSRP is $65150. That's a difference of $4025 (or 6.2%)...

Yup. I got a bunch more options than that, but they are installing all the MPerf stuff at the POE at no additional charge. ...and BMW is doing it BEFORE I take delivery at the PDC...

...and yes, we HAVE been working on this since last August. I started all this at the M Individual facility in Munich last August. The M4 only entered the full Individual program until this last March. Then when we went to process the 2015 order (I had a June Production date), they started pushing back all the M4 individual paint orders. So I deiced to wait for a 2016. My dealer (and BMWNA and BMWI) has been working with me all along. They truly have earned the profit they will be getting from this order. How many other sales reps do more than just fill out the paperwork?

In any case - its only money... :-)

Alright guys, don't ruin this new thread already.

So how do we go about getting THESE invoice prices? Do we assume most are the same?

don't get me wrong, i am cheap and i negotiate almost everything i buy but if i find value in the service, product, person I am happy and in this case he obviously has found value in all of those aspects

So you are saying you are getting less than $500 over invoice because you are getting $4K off which is the difference of MSRP and invoice of a base car?

All of the options have an invoice of the approximate same % difference as the car. Further, M performance parts invoice costs are actually less than this %. And in addition, port installed accessories are always installed for free as far as I know and having them installed is not a complicated task for a dealer.

I can understand they worked on getting you the paint and stitching you want and that certainly has some value. Im sure they worked hard for you.

However, the others that are searching and happy to find $500 over invoice for an M3/M4 are getting a significantly better deal.

7% off of $113k is $8k. He got $4k off. Sounds like we are talking about relative chump change here. Anyone buying a $113k M4 doesn't care about money at all...although I am wondering why not a loaded 911? Gt3 for $130k and that's a 3.3 sec car....

Agreed. He definitely doesn't care.

However, I am simply pointing out that he is incorrect to imply that he is getting a deal that's better than $500 over invoice.

BMW has always treated me really well. They gave us an M4 to drive to/from the Ring last year at no cost (just gas and wash) and they are doing it again this October. I have also made some good friends inside BMW. This is what keeps folks coming back.

They have earned my loyalty and I really like the cars. (I also have an M6 and X6M)

I did consider a GT3 (and GT3 RS and GT4), but they have long waiting periods as well. I still might start working one of those up (or a GT2 when its released), but actual delivery would likely be another year out anyway.

...and, as before, I'm a pretty loyal customer when someone treats me well.

I hear ya man! As for myself, I'm eagerly awaiting my stripper M3 with just adaptive suspension and SS paint. Don't need to tick the HK Audio box anymore... My last customer service experience was excellent, and I enjoyed the culture of BMW. However I got a little hosed on my deal, as it was a spontaneous purchase and I didn't fully understand lease math at the time. I was convinced to put money down on the lease to bring the payment down, and I paid more than $2k over invoice for a 2013 328i that was in their inventory and the end of June 2013, when 2014s were already just on the horizon. They were clearly trying to unload their inventory to make room for 2014s and I should have negotiated that point. However I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 4 years and money wasn't on my mind. I will be smarter this time!
