My worry is that the tanzanite blue is really dark. The debut pictures make it look blue but in other pictures it looks almost black. Is that true or am I mistaken?

Mistaken. Tanzanite Blue is nowhere near Carbon Black. It had bigger metallic flakes in it and it is a med-dark blue.

That's according to my dealer. When I emailed him asking to change it he said "the m4 has been pulled for production I cannot make any modifications to this" maybe he's mistaken idk

Do we even have an order guide for Individual in the US yet? And, that aside, can you even place an order for the four Individual paint colors in the US yet? And: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...64&postcount=7 (yes, color list is wrong there, but dates are believed to be accurate) So |

You can then go to www.bmwusa.com and look under "My BMW" and enter the production number and it will give you the progress of your build. There should also be a picture of what you ordered on the screen. |

White is the most common color by far, and there are two whites. White and silver are the easiest to maintain, assuming you mean keeping it looking clean. Black, gray and others dark colored cars show dirt, etc. much more. I'm not sure about AY, but I'll find out pretty soon.
My take is that AY is a polarizing color, but if you have seen and really love it, you should go with it. If you like the zing, as nice as the whites are, they don't bring the zing. I think it will age well and look more modern than the T blue. There are many medium to dark blue cars on the road. Many car companies from ford to Ferrari and Porsche are trying new, vibrant, unique, and beautiful colors to change things up and they are working. The good news is that either choice is good. Go with what brings the biggest grin. |
