What type of extender do I order? There are so many options and sizes? This is particularly for M3.

Then there's option for window or center? Are they really different?
You want the rigid version of the extender.

So with the car seat that I currently have for my son it makes it extremely difficult for him to clip the seat belt into the holder because it's so close to the seat. The seat uses LATCH so it doesn't move around which is great but there is no wiggle room for the clip to insert into the holder. Does anyone know how to get the holder to move more or be more flexible/mobile?

Ugh I tried seven times to post the pic on the mobile app and it fails continuously. Guess I need a rigid seatbelt extender.

What's the best seat protector? I am getting this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ATVPDKIKX0DER) for my M3 and my wife uses a folded towel to protect her Jeep, is there anything better than that?

We have used both of the below and they have worked flawless. Cheap and protects the leather as well as indentions. You could never tell we have kids when removed. We have been using them for 4 years now with no issues.

I use the summer in my cars too. No need to spend a fortune as these work flawlessly.

My Chicco Next Fit fits perfectly in the F80. It is forward facing now that he is over 2 years old but even when he was rear facing there was plenty of room to lean the seat back and forth.

Be careful with the seat protectors. A lot of reveiws complain of the rubber melting into the seat. I had a black one, different brand, with a studded rubber bottom. After using it for like 2 weeks I took it off and noticed the rubber stained the leather lightly in my SO interior. It didn't really melt but it did transfer the color.

I just don't use them anymore.

I got a BMW Child Seat installed on my M4 and got this seat protector from the dealer so it's an OEM one that goes on both seats as you can see from the picture. Is that the same protector you have? Should I be worried since this is an OEM seat protector?

I'm not sure. I had ones like these: Car Seat Protector By Luliey Car Back Seat Cover Pad for Child and Baby Car Seats and Dog Mats - Protects Automotive Vehicle Cloth Upholstery or Leather Seats from Dust and Dirty Shoes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019EGMP8A..._M9mFzbQQDW6CX

The bottom looked like the attachment.

I've never seen the BMW OEM ones. I'd be interested in those.

Anyone got a link to the BMW OEM ones? Can't find anything about them. I'm looking for something thicker to prevent leather indentations... a lot of these mention look really thin. I'm considering these: https://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionhe...000083GHY?th=1

I think you are sweating too much. These seats do not require that protection from the child seats so if you have any, that's more than enough.

Saw this at C&C today and suddenly felt like my F80 was an extremely practical family car.

Arrow For those using the Diono Radian Series Car Seat

For those who have this car seat how does it fit in the rear of the F80 M3? I test fitted it and the fixed rear headrest doesn't clear the top section of the Radian car seat. The back of the Radian is 27.5" whereas the distance from the seat cushion to the bottom of the headrest is 25". Why would BMW make a fixed headrest on the M3?

Looking for feedback from owners of this particular carseat.

Thanks.

Thanks man. So you basically added a towel as a spacer to fill the gap created by the top potion of the Radeon resting against the rear head rest? Or are you saying it fit under the headrest and the back of the radeom lays flat against the back of the M3 seat.

TBH I put the towels there to try to prevent the top of the car seat from putting indentations into the headrest. It will lay flat against the headrest, but not against the back of the seat. The side "bolster" also makes the geometry kind of weird. It definitely sits snugly and securely, if that's your concern. But it's not a glove fit with the contour of the seat. I'll try to take better pics when I get home.

Thanks. Yes that why I was asking that specific question as the manufacturer requires it to be flat against the back and if the headrest comes in the way we are required to adjust or remove it, neither of which can be done with the m3. BMW needs to fire their seat designer
