I have a Recaro seat in the back of my M4 convertible and it works great. I would expect it to be fine for M3 too.

Not necessarily. Many of the Recaro seats have a tall back. Because the F80/82 have fixed rear headrests that slant forward, taller car seats (like my Recaro Pro RIDEs simply won't fit in F80/82, but would in an F83/F3x.

Recaro for convertible child seats. Britax for toddler and up. The click tight system on the britax will prevent the seat from moving around, compared to the latch system. Much safer and easier on your seats. You should be using a protective pad anyway.

Another diono radion r100 user. I can fit 3 across in the m3 or just use 2 and have enough legroom for the kids that they can't kick the back of my seat. I purchased mine years ago when I found out that they are one of the few that fit in the 911.
They are also great for traveling since they fold up fairly compact, but they do weigh a ton. I've used britAx, maxi cosi and recaros and the diono has the best fit and finish

Car Seats in M3 Sedan
There's a thread for the M4, but I couldn't find anything on the M3.
I've got 3 kids (6, 4, and 2) and likely won't have all 3 in the car very often, but a sticking point for my wife was that we could fit them all if needed. I found this which proves it's possible...though I would love to see if there are some better options. What are you guys using for car seats in your M3?

I have 2 kids but one is 14 yrs and the other 2.5 yrs old. I use a recaro convertible seat. Works perfectly in the m3. But for 2 cars seats plus another body in the rear of the car it might be to wide. I have had an adult plus the 14 year old and my son in the car seat at the same time and fit just perfect.

I have a Graco 4Ever and a Maxi Cosi Pria in the back now, and I can juuust squeeze in the middle seat (I'm 5'0). That being said, the Maxi Cosi is a beast of a car seat, and two of the Gracos would be a big improvement. If you could find slimmer car seats still (sounds quite doable) and if the 6 year old is in a booster seat in the middle, I think it's very reasonable.

I have similar aged kids - 7,5, and 2. My wife's only requirement was that any car I get has to be able to fit the three kids.
We use a Clek Fllo in the middle for the 2 year old and Bubble Bums on either side for the 7 and 5 year old. It's tight but manageable. I also just ordered two of these to replace the Bubble Bums: http://www.mifold.com/?gclid=CMbiyP3fr8wCFQUmhgodFLUE9g |

I have a recaro forward facing in my car. Assuming your 4 year old is in a booster the 3 will fit back there, but it won't be too comfortable. Also I hope the passenger doesn't have long legs or they will be tight on leg room. If you want I can put up some pictures of what it looks like.
As a 2nd car there should really be no concern, I doubt you'll be doing road trips if its not the primary family hauler. |

To answer OP's question, it will fit, but I don't know how tall you are and how far back you like to sit. At my seating position (I'm about 5'9-5'10), there is barely any room at the back. That's just my preference though. |

2 Graco Affix, for the 4 and 6 year olds. These are nice as they are fixed, but can move to the side to bring in a third seat. I've fitted a third for a short time. My wife also sat in the middle (short trip only).

We have a 10, 7, and 5 year boys. I have my 5 year hold in a Diono Radian RXT front facing behind the passenger seat. Then I have my 7 year old in a Graco affix booster seat behind the driver's seat. And my 10 year old sits in the middle. He's sat there for 1+ hour rides without complaints. Then again, they're all too busy to complain while watching movies on the iDrive screen

I have a 7 month old, 11 year old, and 10 year old. They all fit no problem. I don't think you'd be able to do 3 traditional car seats/boosters. I would look into getting two mifolds for your 4 and 6 year old.
