Just got a M3 this weekend!

Hey guys..am back in the land of M. Just finalized a deal last week for a 2015 M3 sedan that was in the showroom at my dealer. Traded in a 2014 650ix Gran Coupe and walked away from it with a smile on my face and never looked back. Had a 2009 e92 M3 coupe back awhile ago and it was one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. To this day hated the fact I got rid of it (for an Audi A7 of all things - needed 4 doors) and have basically I think been searching for the fun and feeling I had in that car ever since.

Anyway dealer had one M3 and two M4's on the lot and a SO M3 but it was a Euro delivery so no joy getting that one although I did try! LOL Car wasn't loaded with options and IF ordered I probably would have added the Exec package and M adaptive suspension but as optioned I am good with it versus staying in the 650ix Gran Coupe which was a luxury yacht compared to the M. Glad to be home.

I did the same thing! trade in my 2014 650i GC and get and YMB M4. Love it!

Or the way some owners react to life with a 650 GC! LOL Don't get me wrong its a very good car! Luxurious and stylish and the interior is to die for if that's what you want...it those areas it will compete with the best Audi and MB have. However as a daily driver in and around town it is challenged by its size and weight. Push it and you just cannot overcome the physics of the thing. Despite doing a Dinan Performance ECU and Intercoolers and an Eissenman Race exhaust...I never felt as if I was driving the car but more like "piloting" the ship!

Ha you too...yeah the BEST BMW I ever owned was my e92 M3 coupe so I went back to what I know as seems you did as well. Congrats too.

Thanks..need a few things/additions. It was the only M3 the dealer had and all other area ones had sunroofs..ugh..what's that all about and/or were outfitted in crazy colors and options. Exec package and maybe M adaptive was only ones I really would have chosen (for HUD and rear camera and smartphone integration) but my car didn't have them. However at $4k I can do without the HUD...found the direction show in the central DASH display so that's cool and the rear camera...well hope I can retrofit via plug and play or another aftermarket interface option. Comfort access I am getting used to pushing the button on the key again! And finally M Adaptive well I always put it in Sport mode anyway and rarely used Comfort for suspension so when I look at it...okay without M Adaptive. Maybe a good set of KW Coilovers? Where there's a will there is a way! LOL
