i am sure there are cars to be found. your not going to find the exact build you want.

decide what is must have and what is flexible. and pull the trigger when it feels right

The answer was no. Mind you this was not 18 or closer to a newer model. It was a 16.

They said they'd only gain a few hundred dollars on the sale or something like that and declined my request. There may have been some other underlying factors to why they didn't but yeah, luckily it wasn't too far to pick up from the other city.

On the other hand they did do it for and e92m3 prior but it was a different salesman.
I think it will come down to how serious you are and the report you build with the salesman. Good luck.
I didn't deal with / talk to a salesman, they gave me a "BMW Genius" (apparently sort of like the Apple Genius Bar guys...?) to ride along with me during the M4 test drive. He said he's basically done all the performance schools, all the M schools, etc, knows the M cars in and out, and isn't the one to talk finance or lease or anything - specifically said he's not sales - just there to answer any questions I had, show me the vehicle, or take a nap and let me go cruise around with him in the passenger seat. Whatever I wanted. We ended up chatting for a little bit and he seemed pretty chill. Really helpful, patient, willing to look up / configure / etc anything. Didn't try and pressure me into anything either aside from asking if I'd considered the i8 because they had a used one for the same price as one of the M4s I was looking at (~$72k).

Two door 707HP Hellcat comes with a 6MT. Saw one at the gas station this weekend. Was admiring the car and 6MT, Guy told me if you order the Hellcat with an automatic you're basically a pussy. He asked me what was in my car - I told him Dual Clutch of course.

Mineral gray with magnetic suspension, 18" wheels, and LED headlights? That was mine.

Feels like the only thing that comes in manual is the STI, Corvette and Camaro.
My 2015 M4 just came off lease and is sitting at a dealers lot in eastern Iowa. Manual, AY/SS. No exec. Also no CF roof...that will be a deal breaker for some, I understand. The replacement ZCP M3 has one though.

^ this. OP just because you have a preapproval doesn't mean you have to deal only with your bank. Take the letter and have someone match it (better yet beat it) since they don't need to know the particulars.

Tried that with a c7 and they said there was no way they could do 2.3

Doesn't mean it won't work elsewhere but you need to find the car you want and ask to make it work. If they can't meet the rate, ask for a further discount on sales price to make up the difference.

You can also try CarMax, AutoNation, Penske, etc. If they have what you want in an out of state store, they should be able to transfer it to a local dealer.

Basic questions: What good is a very low interest rate if its ridiculous stipulations mean you cannot find a car? Would you rather pay less for no M4 or a bit more for an M4?

I agree; it will take a little to find one in 6MT. Took me about 2.5 months to find one decently priced, well taken care of, with the add-ons i wanted AND in 6MT.

Ended up buying it from a Forum Member on here.

I’m in Birmingham and have been considering selling my car. 2016, Yas, 3 pedals, carbon structure interior, active dampers, 18’s, 11k miles. In service date 2/14/16. I had to order it to get one how I wanted and with a manual.

I drive my truck most of the time and since I drive the M4 so little I’ve been contemplating selling it to get something like an R8.

Did you read the ad I posted for the Azurite M4 that Tommy is referring to? You think that car is overpriced?

Would be hard to justify over $70k on a 2016; however, those are nice options and mods. You'd have to have the right buyer.

$72K for a 2016? People spending money on mods and then expecting to recover costs without parting out = overpriced to the vast majority of buyers.

Edit: The other ad also reflects CPO coverage and Dinan, which should be mutually exclusive.

Regarding the other ad, if the Dinan mods we're done by a dealer then that car is not excluded from CPO.

Regarding the Azurite M4, that's a $100K car with 2400 miles and a full factory warranty. It will likely sell for 70K, and come with a wad of maintenance receipts as thick as your wrist. I'm sure anyone could find an off lease clapper with three years of free BMW-no-maintenance, and pay a lot less than 70K. With the 30,000 +tax you didn't spend you can buy an extended warranty to 100,000 miles, and have enough left over to fly to Monza next August. You'd still have enough left over to stay at this place on Lake Como, it's only 45 minutes from the track.

This is not true. Re-review CPO criteria on BMW’s website. Doesn’t matter who installed it. The dealer isn’t underwriting the CPO warranty.

Personally, I’ll probably never understand why people spend that kind of money customizing a car, not drive it and then expect someone else to pay top dollar for their work of art.

I apologize for my error on CPO: I just checked at BMWNA and the policy regarding Dinan mods was changed on 9/01/2008, so you were correct that that car should not have both.
