I want all of the REAL specs (hp, tq, mpg), price and individual colors. Crossing my fingers that what we've heard so far are the lowered figures.

I can't believe we are so close already. December always passes too quick in a blur of holiday preparations and parties. We know what the car will look like in both M3 and M4 guise and most options already. We also know the tech. specs with the engine bore x stroke being the biggest mystery due to unfortunate poor journalism. At this stage I'm mostly awaiting reviews and to get to drive the car.

What he said! Can't wait to see the first reviews by Car & Driver, etc. I definitely want to get behind the wheel and can't wait to drive it off the lot!

Unfortunately you/we are almost entirely unlikely to get the full story when the car is officially released/debuted since the car will almost for sure be underrated. A process I wholly detest. Europe needs to get inline with the precedent setting SAE J1349 "Certified Power" which demands a 1% variation between specification and actual units. It is very un-German and un-EU to not have a similar rigid specification in place.

I am so tired of waiting. I am tempted to do a lease assumption of an E9x M3 just to give me something (fun) to drive until next Summer when the F80 is finally available.

For somebody NOT interested in a new direction M3/4 is going (mainly engine) you sure like to throw your pessimistic comments around.

I'm hoping to get my hands on this beast in SPRING

Europe or US? We always get it in the US a few months after Europe does.

Cheers.

as a car enthusiast i still love talking about cars, and see new cars hit the market. i can still respect the m4 for what it is.
