With each successive clip I grow more impressed at the stability and pace of the car. Very tightly controlled body motions and appears to be quite a bit faster and more poised than the E9x. I expect this to be a fast car and hope BMW makes it more taught/aggressive (styling, driving dynamics) than the current M3.

Why not put an M6 badge on it? If you're going to rebadge, go big!

looks good but I'm still not impressed. It's missing something...

prior to the e92 coming out, I was hell bent on gettin an e46. I was also iffy about the idea of an e92 prior to testing. However, when I saw the first test video at the ring I fell inlove. The e92 video caught my attention immediately, the sound the look (accent wise atleast, at that point), it just POPPED! I simply knew that was the M I wanted. The e92 testing video still brings a smile to my face because of that turning point in my decision to buy an M.

The M4 video and the pics didn't provide that same feeling nor experience. Call me bias, I don't care. I rather wait around another couple years and see what comes next. Till then, the e92 will have a reserved VIP spot in my garage.

I don't know if anyone can answer this but I can't understand why the M4 is F82 whereas the 4 series is F32?????????????
the codename has never been different from 3 series to its ///M sibling

I think it's because there are enough differences between the M and Non-M chassis that they warranted a different designation this generation.

I am hoping this is because there is some serious use of Aluminum and or CF in the chassis and body.

So it seems that the M4 and the 435i M will have the same exact front end.

Maybe they'll just pipe exhaust sounds like they did for the M5 ;(
Agreed. Singularly unimpressed w/ the sound. Stance is OK. Design potentially a bit dull too - RS5 in the sights.

This M4 actually looks like it's equipped with the carbon ceramic brakes, which are also offered as an option in the F10 M5. The optional carbon ceramic brakes on the F10 M5 also have gold calipers.

Very wishful thinking, but I can dream can't I?
That would be nice, but I believe that "nearly" means "almost" in this case. Since the M4 will be FI, there's no need to design a high revving motor for hp gains.

I feel that the current M3 is plenty fast enough. Hell, I can't exploit probably 50% of its potential (yeah, I have no skills compared to a regular trackster or race car driver), but man, I look forward to the new M4. The potential lighter weight and more torque sound perfect and with possibly improved brakes it looks like M has addressed all of the short comings of the current M3, which is pretty spectacular I may add. A lot of stuff is speculation right now, but I look at the M4 video often and can't wait to take delivery of it. Do I love the sound of the V8? Sure! But I would love more midrange torque and daily drivability. I would love to feel more speed like when I drove a 991S or was in a R8 V10 plus!
