That's not how it felt to me from a test drive. There was no lack of power anywhere in the rev range that I could feel.

A clearer dyno. Test weight is at 1615 KG, some might want to know. But we should all know by now that cars are never as light as the manufacturers claim it to be.

It just came out, you either have to buy the magazine, or like me, subscribe it on iPad. A lot of the stuff is not on their website, if you don't want to pay, wait for people to scan it or take screenshot and post it.

I think the power delivery is about as linear as possible on a turbo motor that's setup with responsiveness in mind. The tq on the other hand...
I don't even know what to say about that.

I think it's very cool that they let the engine produce as much power it can at different rpms. This is a turbo car and they act this way. It's just hilarious how it has been quoted as having linear power delivery when you look at this dyno chart It's a wild mix of exponential, linear and flat depending on rpm.

I dunno why linear power delivery is such a big deal anyways. I was at the track last weekend and had my car tuned for the typical TT feeling with plenty of TQ and typical N54 power curves. I thought it was outstanding and if I had the tq cut out of the bottom, I would have gone crazy.

P-Rad= whp P-Mot= bhp M-Mot= tq (Im assuming before drivetrain losses) P-Schlepp is worthless if I understand correctly. Looks like towing capacity.

If P-rad is truly WHP... I would like to see who else wants to argue the shift points here. Just like an N54, past 6K rpms... your power is dropping and you will shift around there. Once again, a function of small turbos.
The useless flywheel HP numbers match BMWs charts but the reality is slowly coming out.

I don't know that it has been said that "the S55 has linear power delivery"? I believe that a few reviewers have said however that the power delivery feels linear... The dyno graph from Sport Auto is in fact much more linear than the BMW cartoonish graphs we've seen previously though. The drop off in torque at 5500rpm isn't as dramatic as in the official dyno graph from BMW for instance. So in that respect the dyno graph is a nice surprice Also bear in mind that the Prad number at 1500rpm is extremely low (around 5hp), indicating a non full throttle scenario at 1500rpm IMO. This also creates that very steep rise from 1500rpm that you might not see in real world scenarios. And 465hp/577Nm is also a significant higher number than the adverticed figures.
