Just in case I misunderstood all I need is the $595 bootmod3 to get started? Does that come with a off the shelf tune? And if I want a custom tune how does a tuner do that ?

For me, that version of the app was misreading a dme locked flag and was attempting an unlock before flashing on an already unlocked dme. This sounds like it could be what's happening to others. The latest version has now fixed that issue.
The solution provided to me was to go to the About tab and "force dme unlocked" which tells the app an unlock is not necessary when you flash. So when I reflashed after that the dme woke back up and completed normally. |

oh believe you me , I am up to speed to BM3
seen this platform progress since last year February my good man. with BM3 trying to do so many things it's bound to have some problems here and there. if it was a simple flash and be done, trust me there would be zero issues |

Did the unlock and flash this morning with a buddy. Seemed way too easy and straight forward. Have driven it for a bit and no issues (so far). We both flashed OTS stage 2 both 6MT and this thing moves out. Power is so linear and strong compared to JB4.
However, I've noticed my burbles to be "quieter", but I hear there will be a release to change that or increase overrun later. Anyway, so excited and happy I did this. Car feels awesome! Edit: We drove our cars for about 15 mins, hammered on it couple of times. Hooked up cables to each others cars by battery. I had an error a couple of times, but just restarted the agent on the 3rd time and it worked perfectly. ///BlackF80 |

Got a couple of questions.
1. What is the DME file used for? 2. If I do an initial DME read out and flash and unlock and then I do a relic by flashing the newest Istep to my ECUs will I need a new DME readout? Thanks |
