Yeah the bedplate is in all cars manufactured past a certain date. Interestingly, some early GTS cars came with the original bedplate.

Exactly, I'm not sure why the discussion of warranty is going on here. Kinda off topic.

I would love to be able flash M4 CS FSC (or whatever it's called) to my ZCP without having to unlock the DME. Not interested in those crazy HP/Torque numbers.

I think most everyone would be very interested in those crazy HP numbers if they were accurate and safe....
I cant recall one enthusiast ever complaining about too much HP, typically we're always wishing for an extra 10hp when were neck to neck in a race ....lol

You might be right. I might be in the minority here but I totally disagree with your statement "I cant recall one enthusiast ever complaining about too much HP". F8x platform is already struggling to put the power down as it is so yes there is too much power and torque for this platform especially when the calibration is not done properly. However, most importantly I track my car regularly and put a lot of stress on the car. Therefore, I don't want to step outside boundaries that BMW tested and verified (e.g. M4 CS spec).

Yeah, my preference would be for the new CS tune as well but if I can't get a legit BMW tune/map then I'll probably do a stage 1.

Either way, this isn't actual flash tuning through the OBD port, not in the traditional sense.

No one can get any real details or proof of this. If real it's likely just the FSC code to enable ZCP coding and is not an unlock or tune above ZCP. A ZCP or a CS retrofit would be great but if either of theses were true, I assume there would be more info and proof.

Someone reached out and got a response claiming they will provide power gains close to the level of unbelievable.

It's possible that they are able to get the FSC codes or maybe they actually figured out how to code past a locked DME but this thread is inconclusive for providing a real answer.

Bypassing the FSC code would still be a huge deal. Buying an FSC code for the ZCP power bump would also be somewhat cool, given that no one else has proven this route to be viable.

I mean to be perfectly honest, I'd rather go the quote on quote safer way and have my DME removed and opened up than have some randy try to flash my car via the OBDII port. Once my new car reaches and completes the 1200 mile break in, off to the tuner she goes! lol But I digress and that's my own opinion.

Have you seen the news regarding OBD flash tuning? It is apparently real after all and more tuners are going to have the capability in the near future.
