Just curious how the process works.
I believe OP means #1 spot on his dealership's first allocation on the CS.

Congrats OP on the #1 spot, but I would at least negotiate the price at MSRP or at a certain number if mark up before putting down deposit.

These will almost definitely be going for an insane premium at launch. Anything under six figures would be an absolute shock. I can't wait to see pics though

Canbec is my dealer.

I'm thinking more like $105~115k before options.

They quote 116900 euros which is about 172000 Canadian. I am sure it's not going to be that expensive in Canada but it can't be way off (assuming you believe them)

M
A base M4 goes for 76700EUR in Germany with less standard features than we have included in the base 76500CAD M4 in Canada. If you spec a car on the German configurator to include all the features that are standard in Canada, it comes out at 81700EUR, or $120600CAD at the current exchange rate, which compares to 78500CAD because they get the $2000CAD full LED headlights as standard. Further, if I am not mistaken, MSRP in Europe includes sales tax. You just cannot use exchange rate to extrapolate MSRP pricing in different markets...

I'm not sure it will be that limited. Given the rumored 3000 units to be produced over 2 years implies approximately 1 out 4 M4 coupe produced will be a CS.

gotcha. I have not asked David about how many allocations are projected but if your sources are correct then I don't see them being marked over MSRP. Its always based off allocations as I'm sure you can agree.

LOL that's what I thought, when I heard the CS was a definite go ahead I called my dealer to see what he would give me on a trade for the CS but when they announced that there was not going to be a manual transmission option, I'm just not ready to let go of my 6spd M, at least not yet, I know I will have to one day but not today!

If I could have both I would but that's not possible right now.

BMW told us that the M4 CS will cost €116,900 (roughly $125,000 USD) in Europe, though we're still waiting to learn official US pricing. That is, of course, quite a bit more expensive than the regular M4, but cheaper than the extremely limited production GTS.

http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-show...018-bmw-m4-cs/

does this mean OP is cancelling the car? :P

I did, but my post was in response to OP's original comment about him dropping the car if it's over 100k, regardless of the final US pricing, it's pretty clear now that it will be north of the $100k mark

Also wanted to post the link that no one has posted yet roughly confirming the estimated cost of the CS

Re-read my post. R&T just applied the exchange rate, which is totally irrelevant .

The exact same reasoning can be applied to US pricing.

If a base M4 has an MSRP of 76,700EUR (83,800USD) in Germany and 66,200USD in the US, what leads you to believe a CS priced in Germany at 117000EUR would MSRP at 125,000USD in the US ?
