All of them sold. I personally think this one is priced very good!! Won't sell anything on a forum or bmw group. You will get roasted for the price no matter what the spec or price is . Everyone one here should know better than to list a car on here. BMW fanboys are the worst. They want their cars to be worth a lot but say other peoples cars are overpriced 99% of the time. Lol
They did, but maybe not at the time. MMR on this car is 62k now

I am feeling a little regret putting it up lol, I have always gotten tons of compliments on the car but now I am starting to doubt the validity of them

Nobody here is hating or trying to knock your sale. You have every right to price your items as you see fit. I've been here many years and before I've sold parts or cars I've researched what they're selling for, my items move fast because I switch up a lot. You have a well spec'd CS but it's still a 4 year old car on paper, and if you recall these weren't selling for sticker when they were new…there were heavy discounts and programs available for these. I wish you all the luck, I hope you get every penny of the $85 grand you're asking. These guys are just trying to help you maybe put a more realistic price so the car sells faster, but if you don't need to sell it…then leave it at $85k.

👍🏻

Brutal thread, but beautiful car OP.

After looking at tons of CS cars and buying mine in September, I think you’re looking at around $70k plus or minus a G or two. I don’t think the market has softened nearly as much as others are claiming, but it has a bit. The big point others have mentioned is the CS models never sold for sticker in the first place as huge discounts were offered.

The good news however, and it’s just my opinion, is that the big depreciation has already hit in the CS models and it should stabilize going forward. To take things one step further, I’m of the personal belief we haven’t seen anything yet in regards to inflation. I think we’re currently in a 6-12 month timeframe of slight depreciation in pricing, and then hyper inflation is going to explode. Our monetary system is irreparably damaged, things are going to get far, far worse. I wouldn’t sell your car now unless you absolutely needed to, otherwise you could really be kicking yourself 18 months from now.

Personally, I’m totally fine having paid a bit more for my CS then I should have. I hated the G82, there is nothing else out there I like, and the M4 CS is the epitome of the greatest BMW model ever made in my opinion. I’m going to drive it happily knowing I probably burned $5-10k in the short term.

Good luck!

You’re not finding those cars here in the US for those prices unless they’re salvaged vehicles. $66-70k is the best I’m seeing (with nearly all around $70k) for clean examples with 25k or so miles.

I'm not so sure a hyper inflationary environment would be to our benefit, assuming you're right, and the prices of these cars go through the roof, the consumer is already down, with hyper inflation these expensive cars will just sit on lots because they're discretionary purchases which the consumer won't be able to afford. On top of that it's true that this edition never really caught on.

Been looking at a lot of M4’s and about every CS on the market nearly every day for about a month now. This cars ask should be 76K in my opinion. Prob a buyer willing to pay between 69500-76000k for it. Some want lower mileage, some want high quality mods, some love the color some don’t, some hate the wing. You do have the carbons so that’s a nice option but most will find it a useless expense. So that’s a pretty accurate range for ya

Why are you confused? You listed a car for sale for 85k when the market is around 70k. Huge case of endowment effect.

As private party seller, you should be listing the car in the sweet spot between just above what a dealer would pay to buy it off you and what you could get by selling it as a private party; if you want to sell in a timely fashion, that is.

On the other hand, if you want to wait for that one buyer that has been looking for your exact spec, you will have to wait months for that to happen and even then I don't think many people will be paying 15k over market value. Maybe a couple thousand over but not 15.

People with that type of money to throw around recklessly will not be buying a four year old car with 25,000 miles on it. They'd head over to the Porsche/BMW dealership and buy a new one.
