With slightly larger twin power turbos and more free flowing heads compared to the old regular mini turbos with restrictive heads used on the n54, the f80 won't need any more than 1 bar boost (14.5psi) to get 450hp. Maybe you meant 2 bar as in total pressure, 1bar atmosphere and 1bar boost.

No way it'll run 2bar. That's 30psi! We're not talking a mk4 Supra making a thousand wheel HP.

~.76 to 1.1 bar

... Would they flip the sxx block like on the s63 and put twin scrolls on top and suck air through the top around the leading edge like through vents? They could use water/air cooling methods and not need so many radiators

Electric turbo/super into main manifold for insant boost then each individual turbo set for mid range and top end

Then dry sump oil and two water pumps

Would this be external or integrated water pumps

It has to be a vert. The seat has the integrated seat belt holder. And yes it is an E46 M3.

Slash cut exhausts tips on the F80... I wonder if that will make it into final production.

Look at the seatbelt Zamboni. It would be attached to the B-pillar had it been an E92.

The F30 taillight is backward step from E90/92

It is wrong. The F30 tailight is backward step from E90/92. E90/92 has the best looking taillight in all generations of the 3 series so far. Besides, the F30 taillights is too similar to F10's. One more minus.

As you should, Jimmy. They get offloaded at Point Hueneme and make their way through South Bay for some urban testing before heading off to the Mojave and Death Valley for some high-temp testing.

God, I hope not. And if they do, I hope BMW releases the M Performance exhaust day and date with the car.

What is wrong with the taillights? f10 and f10 M5 have the same taillights, I'm guessing the same will be for the f30. I'm sure they'll go full LED at LCI. It is what it is, if the taillights keep you from buying a car, then maybe you would be better off looking at other brands...
1) It is wrong. The F30 tailight is a backward step from E90/92. E90/92 (LCI) has the best looking taillight in all generations of the 3 series so far. Besides, the F30 taillights is too similar to F10's. One more minus.

2) the look of taillights is an important part in terms of the look of a Bimmer. A large number of people (no matter they are car-owners or on-lookers) like BMW, not just becos it has a soul but also a sexy body. Even BMW runs adverts & presentation stressing that design is a key factor of their success.

Amen, they better be doing local testing here in NJ too, you know, to fine tune that comfort mode setting... Worst roads I have experienced in this country.
Idk about you but I lived in NJ before moving to CA and I can honestly say that I feel CA has certain freeways that are worse than anything I saw in NJ.

That is the dumbest rationale I've ever heard.

For the fart sounds coming out of the exhaust on the F80 M3, an MSRP of $56K is acceptable. Would you purchase the F80 M3 if it's MSRP started @ $60K?

Oh wow, I wasn't aware that you've had a personal up close encounter with an F80 M3 exhaust.

Sound isn't everything, and certainly doesn't justify price gains or drops. Turbo kits/plumbing cost money, and that's certainly going to add to the cost of the car, and all the bigger/stronger drivetrain parts to handle the extra power the car makes cost more too.

This car is going to make like 150lb-ft of torque more than the prior M3 and is going to be a lot faster. I'd pay more for speed in a heartbeat. Much moreso than sound.
