Old enough to realize that I could easily turn the thing into a weapon if I was irresponsible.

Not being a downer, but it's a ton of power that requires some driving experience.

Agreed... although coming from a tuned 335 that wanted to kill me every time I stepped on it was a good base to learn from

35 when I bought a Z4M, sold it after a year, they are massively overrated.
37 when I bought my M4, it's the better can in every single way.
It's all subjective but I don't subscribe to the notion that the old M's are better, more pure, I just didn't get that. The Z4M was my first ever M car and I was underwhelmed by it, whereas I'm in awe of the M4.
