A red white and blue interior was never going to look good. I like the wheels, but not on that red.

What a complete fail.

I already was like, oh dear, another special. BMW is dilluting the whole idea of special editions.

That 30th/flag emblem is weak.

The only good thing about this one is that it's just a 1 of 1.

Sure it could. This was made by BMW as well.

I think the blue ruins the interior. Opal White works great with the Mugello Red leather and so are the wheels on Frozen Red exterior. Drop the spoiler, blue leather and US flag and it would look great.

Less would have been more here...like one less special edition for the US. UGH, terrible.

BMW is trying too hard to upsell their customers with all these different versions so they think they're buying some collectors type car. You're not Porsche, BMW! The brand is wayyyy too diluted.

I think she has a golden lasso hanging behind the studio door... used the invisible jet to get to Germany...

Minus the spoiler, the exterior works...

You all are forgetting that this is a SEMA exercise. Its go big, bold and outrageous at SEMA or go home. This car fits the bill for the SEMA show. This was not an exercise in making a classic tribute car. The new M3/M4 CS is a better capstone / halo M car.

I do like the shift knob and armrest btw.

This would have been much better if they replaced the blue with red.

Yes I am am an American / New Yorker, and that interior color scheme is well, I 'm totally at a loss for words!

I saw a bit where some jackass had Rolls Royce do a custom leather interior similar to that and they actually embroidered a cheesy red, white & blue eagle head on the headrest. OMG!

I feel bad for the cows that gave their life's and their hides for someone to disgrace them like this!

I do however like the pale gold wheels...
Ya. The expense to weave in colored strands would be absurd and possibly compromise the integrity of the roof itself.

Us Americans / New Yorkers like and dream about and purchase German Sports Cars and Italian Motorcycles because of their understated, simplicity, and quality of design and engineering and yes their styling/sex appeal and of corse a passion for quality.

We like BMW because of their European styling and history and their not American. Hell the whole point for an M model is to not look like a cheesy modern Corvette, right?

Not every American has bad taste.

+1. Sometimes people just completely forget context.
