Yea, some new toys arrived. I'll explain in a few days, but it has to do with how long the M4 is and how our lift/lift ramps in our trailer are configured. We've been having issues with the car bottoming out on the front of the lift.

I've started another thread in this Track forum about the Race Ramps. But here's what we've ended up doing to help get that long, low M4 onto the lift.

Now that the car is mostly built, time to add some more wheels so we have more tire sets at the track

Nest task - gotta move that race radio off the tranny tunnel and up to the dash where the driver can see/adjust it.
First, with cardboard first as a template, cut the shape of the dash panel. Then mount the radio securely Again, using the cardboard first, cut the hole for the radio in the dash panel and paint it black

Got the MCS shocks back from rebuild in time to put them on for corner balancing before Buttonwillow. Turns out they were valved really good for a street car, but we got them re-valved now for racing.
I'll have to admit, I'm no expert on shock dyno reports, but I believe what they are saying is that they are now going to be controlling to a tighter band

Here's a video at Buttonwillow of loading the M4 into the trailer and onto the lift using the Race Ramps

I think Ralph was in the lower 1:50's with thin R-comp tires. We'll ramp up the tire grip in coming events.

We have a Sparco seat. What airbag software issue specifically? We found that we need to keep the electronic module that sits on the tranny tunnel.

I was told that an airbag warning triggers if there is no longer an air bag when the stock seat is replaced with a racing seat... are you still running stock ECU or did you switch to a Motec or similar as this would negate the issue.

Did some splitter work in getting ready for the Bimmerfest races. For anybody coming to the event, we'll be in garages 99-100.

If you do not mind me asking, what do you guys do about rainy days and a foggy windshield? Not sure how much it rains or if ever where you are located but I noticed your heater core is removed so what if any, solution do you have for defogging your windshield when/if needed?

Did a track day at Cal (Auto Club) Speedway and definitely impressed with the M4. It was 107 deg. out there and the car didn't go into limp mode once. This is the first BMW we've raced where we haven't had to modify the water and/or oil cooling.
