Hard to compare these two cars as they're so different.
If it was my money, I'd pick the; M4 CP DCT.

And I would do exactly the same as Mathias, just open the door to listen to those burbles they do sound enormously good with the CP exhaust |

It' also very interesting to see cultural difference of what is a "good engine sound". When the German general public was asked to vote (by moving around the car of their choice) for the best sounding car, the M4 won by a slim margin.

Am I wrong in saying this is the wrong comparison? Shouldn't the M3/4 competition be pegged against the Z06 and not the Grand Sport?

This generation C7 vette in general is a horrible car. I would much prefer the Camaro SS 1LE.
C7 Grand Sport on the other hand is very nice. I would love to test drive one. |

Why? It costs way more and has 200more hp, whole the GS has a similar price and similar power.

I've seen what the GS can do on track, a ZCP cant keep up with it unless we're talking drag racing or Road America. |

This is German comparison, so prices in Germany need to be used, not US ones...

Not sure what you are LOLing about.
A Corvette GS starts at €96k in Germany while a Z06 starts at €120k; the M4 starts at €76k. From a price stand point in the German market, the GS is the closest to a loaded CP M4, hence the comparison in this German review. The even say it at the beginning of the video that both cars cost about €100k. The US is not the center of the universe

It wouldn't be a very enjoyable video for BMW fans to watch a head to head of the Z06 vs. the M4, and they're really not in the same market as each other either.

You can spec up a 440i to be more expensive than a base Corvette. Doesn't mean they should be compared. If the base Vette didn't exist? Sure. But the base Vette is so obviously a better choice of comparison it would make zero sense to compare to the Z06 just based on loaded price vs. base price.

Cabrio M4 is a compromised M4, 500 lbs of extra weight killed the M4 ‘experience’ for me. As much as I hated the cabrio, I love the coupe.

I agree with others. Not a fair comparison. Regardless of price in Europe, these are two totally different cars. I've owned both and it's not a fair comparison. The ss1le is a better comparison than the GS imo.
