Does this lip still require the plastic insert that the plastic lip mounts to? Looking at the center portion of the carbon lip it looks like this lip either mounts directly to the bumper or requires modification of the plastic insert.

I like this piece a lot. Definitely not cheap though.

That's another $750 totaling $2300.
Anything from IND is overpriced. They are middlemen easily skipped.

And damn, for some reason, the CF lip really looks a lot better against that AW vs the regular lip.
Yup, the insert is an adapter you place inside the bumper to support the middle of the lip.

We're displaying the BMW set MSRP per BMW rules. Obviously we help BimmerPost clients on pricing where we can.

Nice work by BMW to update this piece so that it better flows and matches the carbon splitters!

The cost as listed is MSRP and as we all know these parts are commonly sold at 25% off MSRP or more by most dealers. As is the case in life, this solution may not work for everyone but that's why we all have the choice to select the option that best suits our particular needs and taste.

Nice - until I get the first nick and ask myself why why did I buy this.

Not for the overly OCD like me.

Either way, I wouldn't buy one even if it was $1000, makes the car less of a "daily driver" for me with it being more prone to scratches.
It is pretty. As to other options, I simply painted mine to match my car. (AW).
It's a great look.

Super nice, it's not the price that concerns me, it's how quickly I will damage and be mad at myself after. Great quality piece
