The mileage isn't bad but the issue is where did they get it from? No one is going to a small private used car dealer to trade in an M for some junk used car.
Those places usually get these things from auctions. So you would really need to dig into the History. I'd pass.

I don't disagree on this car, but don't assume branded dealers don't also pick up cars at auction and then certify / sell them as CPO. Dealers don't know much about the history of many cars they sell as CPO.

I know. I have seen LEDs and they are nice. But I wouldn't say they are a deal breaker and same goes for full leather. Though nice to have, it's not a requirement.

What exhaust are you planning to go with?
I haven't even looked at M4s. Set on an m3 as I want the 4 doors for convenience.

Likely will keep exhaust stock when I get it.

I'm in the minority here but this looks like a nicely optioned low mileage car. You get the Exec Package, Adaptive, and 437s. A sunroof is mandatory for me, but I would never say something like don't buy the car because it has this or that option. Only you know your requirements and color choices you prefer and can live with. Local market conditions play a part as well. How many low mileage 6MT are in your area? Are you willing to shop regionally or nationally and ship? And as others pointed out, what is the car's history? Very important. Enjoy your shopping.

LEDS you should care less about. I have seen several friends with LEDS in their m3/m4 and driven and its nothing special. My m5 has no LED and it looks the same output wise when compared to LED.

Not sure where you live but in well lit cities/suburbs you don't really notice the difference. The car still has the same motor and drives the same.

I am sure you can retrofit the LEDS later anyway

The only thing important to me is the outside color/interior color and NO base audio option.

Doing a quick google search of the vin, it looks like it was for sale at a Toyota dealer? Probably trade in, dealer listed it too high, couldn't move it, then dumped it.
My first bmw I got used from a Toyota dealer, got a great deal cuz they couldn't move it for full retail (I was the first caller when they reduced the price to trade in).

As for the mom n pop factor, sometimes they pick up a car for cheap because it isn't moving not that there's anything wrong with the car.
A buddy of mine picked up these mint cpo bmw's from a bmw dealer because they were not selling at full retail ($41k). They can't sell them to another bmw dealer so they dumped them to keep their sales numbers up. Absolutely nothing wrong with the cars!

Thus, do your due diligence on the vehicle's history including maintenance but don't be afraid to buy it from a small dealer.
Also don't be afraid to negotiate a bit! They probably got the car for $8-10k less and have a bit of wiggle room.
Good luck!

LEDs are the most over rated option. $2k for fancier headlights? No thanks. Now if he standards were halogens then ya, but the demons are great. Keep in mind we don’t have the anti dazzle in the US market. I do miss the auto high beams though

You can make a very aggressive offer and then retrofit the LED headlights.

I know I'm in the minority but I prefer the classic look of the xenons. And I'm pretty sure I saw a thread a few months back where the xenons are rated the same if not better than the LEDs in usable light output.

LEDS are like a status symbol esp if they "make or break" an //M car for you.

You just care about looking cool you poser lol jk

I think it is a good deal if you can go in at 49k + tax and etc to 54k or something depending on your state. I bought mine in california for 49200 with 24k on the car but it is truthly fully loaded with the led headlight but have the moonroof. Didn't want the carbon brake cause everyone stated on the forum that it cost arm and a leg to replace. So I think this car is about right at that mileage and it is a return lease anyway

I had someone locally go check out the car. The car was driven by the GM son for the past 2 months, had 2k miles racked up. The ad says 15,500 miles since mid December and now has 17k miles. Also had some curb rash on few wheels, as well as scratched up/scuffed lower right bumper. The small rubber piece under passenger front bumper was half cracked. Interior seemed nice a little dirty, but nothing a detail will solve.

Also, tires MAY need to be replaced in a few thousand miles...

I may pass after hearing all this.
