Should I buy this used 2015 M3?
Hey guys - I've been contemplating on picking up this M3 for a week now. I'm curious what you all think of the build and if there is something you see that I should keep in mind when purchasing one of these F80's. The warranty is up in 8 months. Looks like some of you are replacing your spark plugs at 25k miles. What else do I need to consider?
Here's a link to the car. Any feedback would be really appreciated. I need to buy a car ASAP, just sold my 550i xdrive to a local dealership so I'm without a car! http://www.rivardbuickgmc.com/Vehicl...-FL/3098519213 |

I would pass but I am picky. You can tell from those close up shots of the interior that the car was not cared for (especially the close up of the Drivelogic button). Whatever that module is that was installed in the center counsel means they could have hacked the interior up.

The little module right above the cup holder. It looks to be a microphone sensor. Not sure what it is since it has a mute and volume button on it. The interior looks to be in good shape.

Looks good to me...not a bad deal at all...I'd say go for it! Put it to you this way...as it is listed at 48 its a good deal...if you can get it for 45 you'd be stealing it.

I disagree. The interior looks neglected and that's in pictures. I'm sure it looks markedly worse in person. Either the dealership didn't clean it before they posted it for sale or they did and that was the best they could do...not sure which is worse. Anyhow, I would pass but in the interest of full disclosure I have high standards for how I care for my possessions.

He's referring to the Beltronics STiR controller seen in one of the pics. I would figure out if it's just the controller or the full unit installed. The full unit was $1,200 before it was discontinued.
Same as this one. I agree the car's interior isn't spotless but an interior detail should help. The leather looks fine for a used car. I'm not sure where the OP is located since the dealership is in Tampa, FL. If you're not tied down to a specific color and in FL, I would make an offer on this one instead maybe without all the mods to see if it fits within your budget. Yes it's priced higher but it's a newer model year so you get the LCI tail lights plus an extra year of factory warranty. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1465824 |

I agree the interior is neglected. Looks like someone threw up on the shifter and tried wiping it up real quick. It's just tempting because of the color combo and price for me. I appreciate the feedback.
@ espresso - man that car you linked is amazing. |

As long as there are no issues I would say it is a good deal. This F80 appears to be equipped like mine (2015 F80 purchased in July of 2014) and the MSRP of my F80 was 76k. My F80 has 16k miles on the odometer and is a weekend driver. I have the full front end Xpel installed. With that being said, I was offered 49k back in Nov of 2017 when I was contemplating trading it in for a 911 S with 10% being discounted off the MSRP of the 911. Back in June of 2017 CarMax offered to buy my F80 for 51k. I am located in San Diego County so prices may be different in different parts of the country.
As far as the interior is concerned it can be detailed. This reminds me when I bought a 1 year old Corvette (1991) back in 1992 and the driver's side door panel that houses the power window controls and power mirror switch had part of the coating missing on the outer panel. I bought a new panel and installed it for under $100. Interior looked brand new. I also purchased the Corvette for 17k off (23k instead of 40k) the MSRP. I would buy the F80 you are looking at as long as no paint work has been done, vehicle has not been tuned, and no other glaring issues are present. Last edited by Egrunt; 02-15-2018 at 10:49 AM.. |

Thanks again. This car definitely isn't local for me. I live in Kansas City, so I would have to ship it here from Florida. If the car was local I would go check it out in person to really see the shape. Pics kinda scare me to be honest, BUT it tempting for the $.

It's not a desired color combo per se and the interior as everyone has mentioned looks a bit sad.
Car has low miles for year and has no accidents on carfax, so if you can get it for 45 then it would be a fair price Good luck! |

I'd like to meet the person that traded in an M3 for a Buick or GMC!! You don't see that everyday.
