Silver touch-up paint for 19" 437 wheels

Does anyone know the correct paint code to touch-up road rash on the M4 OEM 19" black and silver 437 wheels - specifically the silver color.

Had a 'pro' try to repair previously and long story short, the dealership is giving me two new wheels!! Of course the minute I resolve this, I now have another minor rash on another wheel (crappy tight public parking building entrance) and have no desire to go through another 3rd party fix.

Much appreciated, C.

I'm pretty sure the part that's rashed is not painted. I believe it's just brushed/polished aluminum... possibly clear coated.

It's machined and clear coated. I had a little rash repaired by someone who knew how to do it, and it's impossible to see where the repair is.

Definitely not painted. A good collision shop should be able to take care of it.

there is the polished aluminum part and the painted part. The painted part is ferric grey metallic.

Are we referring to the same wheels? The 19" OEM 437 wheel is black high gloss with the either brushed aluminum or painted aluminum accents that go to the wheel edge. The 'Pro' shop (at the dealership) that attempted to fix my original rash used paint and clear coat to to fix this which, contrary to the last two posts, that suggest it is not actually painted. When I lightly sanded the rash area it seems fairy clear that the 'silver' polished accent is indeed a paint and not bare polished metal. Tried to get this paint at the dealership but not listed! Tried a 3rd party paint which was very close but not perfect - will get there eventually.

The 437m black finished wheels are diamond cut and finished with a tinted black clear coat. The exact color tint that Fuchs uses is a mystery and is very hard to duplicate. It's pathetic but BMW now seems to recommend replacing the whole rim once there is a curb rash since no one seems to to be able to get the tint to the OEM spec.

Interesting - explains a lot! I'll experiment a bit more but will also keep a eye/ear out for local M3/4 owners as we all seem to rash our wheels at some point

Any update on this? Has anyone been able to source the correct tinted clear coat for the machined portion of the black wheels?

Has anyone nailed this issue down yet with respect to the correct tint clear coat?

Anyone knows which color of touch up paint would match the gloss black portion of the wheel? Maybe any "gloss black" automotive paint would do?

I joined the rash club too so if anyone has a paint code or description for the lighter area that would be great!

This is clearly some secret sauce. I have personally repaired the slight rash with my dremel handheld tool and all that is left is the touchup. This beyond frustrating as I think those that know (those wheel repair guys ) won't share even when you, like I have , sanded the area and are missing the last piece to complete. Please share.

I've found it. B44 ferric gray ll metallic wheel touch up paint. It took me a minute to figure it out. But it blends almost perfect with the road rash that I encountered.
