Launch control still not active after break-in service

I just had my 1200 "break in" or Running in Service done. I was a bit early at 1150 miles or so. I am still under 1200 miles.

My problem is, after the service was done, I can't enable launch control. So before you guys tell me that I'm doing it wrong, this is my second F8x, and I know the procedure to initiate launch control on these cars.

Did the dealership mess up or does the car need to actually reach the 1200 miles or more to enable LC? Now I am second guessing the entire service since LC isn't enabled. The vehicle status cleared the break in service notification and moved up my service which is oil change due in 9000 miles. Has anyone else experienced having the 1200 mile service done and NOT being able to do launch control, if so what happened?

Thanks, I saw those threads but they don't answer my question. Looks like the first poster just didn't know how to engage LC and the second was an issue with his I-Step.

It could be that the tech just moved up the service interval but didn't actually check off the running in service completed flag. Which would enable LC. That's my guess.

Per the sheet it looks like they did all of the work properly, which is why it's so confusing...

I dont see the running in service reset listed on the paper as a job completed.

Possible he only did a cbs reset and not the full RIS reset...

Id go back to the dealer and tell them to check...

If you had a copy of ISTA program, you could check for yourself...

Reasons like this why i urge owners who can do a basic oil change and have access to ISTA, to do the service themselves..

You would know if the full reset of 1200 mile service was done because it'll still show on the service reminder. if it's gone,it's been done

How does one go about getting access to ISTA? I might be taking my car out of the country for a while and this information would be helpful and greatly appreciated!
