If you don't see the 703 number, visit the dealer to have the resistor installed. |

I can confirm that exhaust and DCT are affected by this because my brother and I both leased M4s and his is louder and smoother than mine. Thank god it wasn't just in my head lol

I have a feeling you will have to remove them about 5 times more so get ready.

If you need the mod you should do it unless you prefer to have your eighty thousand dollar car performing in a substandard way.
It makes a great deal of difference in the cars driving character. |

I really wouldn't worry about removing your mods. The dealerships won't void your warranty or "flag" your car unless the mods contributed to the failure of the vehicle. This being a service bulletin, you wouldn't have that problem.

I had the CAN terminator recall performed on my car at my 1200 mile service three weeks ago. It made absolutely no noticeable difference in the way my car drives or sounds.

My service advisor called me the other day and told me about this. He mentioned nothing about it having any effect on the exhaust note and the dct. I'm very happy to hear that the dct will get updated as well with this. It's been acting a little funny lately. Could this also be a result as to why my "M" doesn't light up in my driver seat??

Any experts chime in and tell me how this CAN resistor would affect the exhaust note?

I had this done last week and I can confirm the car definitely drives better after this service is performed. I actually felt a noticeable difference right after picking up the car but thought it was in my head.
As for the exhaust, I can't really say, as I had an M performance exhaust installed at the same time. |
