Just learned something new about my M3 order. I had always thought that:
Production week: 23-06-2014 meant the week of 23rd June 2014. Now I know it is week 23 which is 2-8 June 2014

Keeping an eye on M3 now. once it arrives at dealer I gonna check it out and probably trade my 650GC in for a loaded m3.

In Toronto, it is a different story, just asked discount issue and some other detailed information about M3 and M4. My Sales guy told me they already had 4 M3s and 7 M4s on their order list. Probably I gonna be the next one.

I was just at my dealer today and had a brief chat with the assistant sales manager. She told me they had already sold 5 M4s, but not a single M3 so far.

I went to the Detroit auto show this year to compare these cars in person. Going from Texas to Michigan in the middle of July want easy, but was 100% worth it. You cant go wrong with either choice. For me, this will be a secondary vehicle (although my SUV isnt loved) so Im going with the M4.

I even like the E90 more than the E92. Personally, coupe is for the real performance super cars. Like m3/4, they are just a car with super performance. Sedan will always be a better option for me. I almost spot 2-5 m3s daily, all of them are E92, very rare to see a E90 in Toronto.

I wanted a E90 back in 2011 and since I didn't get one I guess the spark for a sedan stayed with me. After seeing the M4 concept I made my mind up to go for the M4, then I attended our local car show in january and the M3 just blew me away. 2 days later I put money down for the first allocation for the new M3. Picking up my new toy on the 23rd. I cant wait!!!!!

M3 vs. M4 revisited
Hey everyone,
My intention is definitely to not start an online debate between M3 & M4 buyers, but I was about to place my order for a black sapphire M3 but then I saw both cars in a local dealership and I was just slightly more drawn to the lines of the M4, even though (1) 4 doors is way more practical and (2) the M3 is slightly cheaper. Is there any particular reason why BMW is charging 2k more for the coupe? Am I completely crazy for not choosing the more "economical" M3? Here's my build: http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...tionId=5452568 Sorry if this thread makes the hard-core forum guys want to vomit but I'm having a tough time here. |

BMW charges more for the coupe because they can and do across all of their coupes.
This is complete personal preference. Get the one that "speaks" to you more. I have always been a coupe guy. I appreciate and like the sedan but it is too "family man" for me (I have 3 kids so maybe that's why I fight the family man image ). I really wish I wanted the sedan because I could drive one home tomorrow instead of waiting until the middle of August but I just can't get myself there... to me (and me alone), the M4 is sexier and more sports car like. It is only slightly less practical. Both versions are awesome... buy the one your gut tells you to buy.
