And the problem with Caymans are they have a fixed roof.
That 10hp is good for a 0.00001s quicker 0-60.

One exception is the Porsche 981 Boxster/Cayman. On that car, the coupes are slightly more than the convertibles. Yet, on the hallowed 991 Carrera, the convertible is 11k more than the coupe. So, when I was making purchasing decisions, I would easily have chosen a 991S Coupe over a 981S Cayman, but there is no way I could have justified 40 to 50k more for a 991 base or S cabriolet over a Boxster S. The GTS version has a bit more power alright, but essentially just has a few of the options as standard and a different front end. Ultimately for me it boiled down to a few factors. 1. I still don't care for the looks of the 4 series with the top up. I love everything else about the car (except the limited color options). 2. We have an F30 335i, my wife's daily driver, and I think I would tire of the cars more quickly if we had two so similar. 3. The dealers are not discounting, or worse, the M4 convertibles, and many already have a list, whereas I'm getting a significant discount on a personally spec'd 2015 Boxster S. The really great thing is there are so many fantastic options coming down the pipe. The 2 series convertible, possibly even an M2 version, the new Mustang convertible, the C7 convertible (including for the first time ever a Z06 convertible) the new Audi TT (maybe), etc., just as examples. It's a great time to be a sports car fan!

So that would be $73425 x 1.03 = $75628. In my country, that's enough for an M135i OR a 320i M Sport only.

Only in the US. In Canada, the M3 starts from $74k and the M4 starts from 75k. No prices yet for the convertible.

€80,850 base price of the convertible in Luxembourg (15% VAT). But is comes pretty loaded with stuff that elsewhere seems to be optional.

That requires a tow hitch which I don't believe you can mount to an M4 with stock exhaust. If you install aftermarket exhaust it might be possible, hard to say. |

On the 3 series (without M-Sport) it is a direct bolt on to the bumper through the fascia. On my 335is, you need to install the secondary "bolt latch" under the rear bumper fascia, Then it is a direct bolt on to the bumper. You can easily put it on/take it off via the tow holes. The photo above is the new version for the 4 series. I imagine they will have the same for ///M4 cabrio. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...r_carrier.html |
