Rattling noise coming from overhead compartment

Anyone have this issue with their overhead compartment where the SOS button is? I haven't opened it up to see whats making the annoying rattle sound. Drives me bonkers!!

I haven't checked mine in the M4 yet but in my e92 the SOS button had a plastic cover. Are you sure that's fully latched in or maybe one of the clips broke.

I'll double check, but it seems to be inside the overhead compartment. And its only sometimes, which annoys the F*** out of me. Wifey thinks I'm crazy bc i cant stand sounds that shouldnt be there.

I give mine a good whack every few days and that seems to help.

Smile Check Your Sun Visors

OP, make sure your sun visors are firmly latched into place. I had a rattle coming from the center of the car, which was also inconsistent and difficult to zero in on. Once I figured it out, the visor was just loose enough to be the cause of the rattle.

Good luck in resolving the issue.

Thank you everyone that has posted to help me out!

I'm going to take apart that rattling area over head this weekend.
My gf thinks I'm absolutely crazy that these sounds bug me.
