Thoughts/feelings about missing out on the F80 LCI, round 2? I do like the new LED headlights, but not sure that I like them enough to order another car or retrofit my own. Will be curious to see how the base price changes now that they're standard on the F8x.

Interestingly enough, tracking through MyBMW shows that production has completed (as expected) while the automated phone line still says in production with est. completion date of 1/16. Who would've thought the website would be more up-to-date than the automated line?

Resisting the urge to call Genius until later this week.

My estimated completion date was 1/14/17. Yesterday I called the Genius and they confirmed that production was completed on 1/14, and that it left the factory on 1/16.

As of yesterday, the website showed production ended. I just called the automated phone line and they said "your vehicle is in production, the estimated completion date is 1/14".

I might as well join this thread.

I ordered my F80 2 days ago on Monday January the 16th. As of today, Track My BMW shows me in production status. "Production Begins." BMW USA, live person, confirmed that my car entered production yesterday, January 17th, at 6am (German time) and is scheduled for completion on 1/27/17:

Alpine White
Sakhir Orange/Black Extended Merino Leather
Competition Package with 19" M forged Black 437 wheels
DCT
Carbon Fiber interior trim

Broke down and called Genius. At the port waiting on vessel assignment, status 193.

Congrats. How long did it take from status 150 to 193.

So my order actually went 150 before the holidays but because of the lengthy break, it finished up production on Monday (1/16). That makes just 2 days from production completion (155, I think?) to 193.

Same. Said I wouldn't call until Friday but I had to. Was told my car is at port awaiting assignment as well.

Finished production yesterday and awaiting a carrier to the port!

Called Genius on Saturday. Car finished production as scheduled on Friday 1-20 and was en route to port. Curious to find out which boat to track.

Re: MY 2018 updates. I'm not upset at all. I like the look of both sets of headlights. I have the "itch" for the latest and greatest like anyone, but the current lights appear truer to classic halo rings. The rest is the same for me. The only thing I know I'll regret not having is burbles.

Will be contacting Genius today regarding ships. Have a hunch that a few of us will either be on the Toledo or Faust.

Currently at Status 193 so I'm guessing that we will know the boat within a few days.

I cannot find any NYK or Kline boats with shipping schedules from Bremerhaven to Baltimore in the near future. I'm going to guess we'll get Wallenius Wilhemsen.

Given that my car just went 193 today, and it can take 3-5 days to get a boat assignment, I'm going to put my money on Figaro or Thermopylae.

i think the 3-5 days is a pretty quick estimate. there are numerous examples in the last 2 months of people waiting 2+ weeks before it getting on a boat. i'm hopeful i get on one before the end of this month (mine's been in port since middle of last week), but i'm trying to temper my expectations.

the good news is that as a fellow east coaster, we see more ships on average than the west coast and hopefully that works in our favor.

I called, still no ship assignment. Really hope it gets on before the end of the month.
