Red Start Button

Just been into the dealers and noticed an M4 CP that has a red starter button. Anyone know when this was introduced?

This is a brand new car built March this year so definitely not an aftermarket part.

Been around for months could be that BMW are specing them now or the dealer ordered the part...

Loads for sale on ebay or order one from your local dealer.

They must be speccing them standard now then. Just wondered when from. I know because the one in the dealers is mine, was built 23 March and I didn't ask for it

Probably around the time yours was built then.

I picked up my new m4 zcp this Tuesday and I have the red start button. Was a nice surprise as I didn't realise they had started using them. I've not taken a pic of it specifically but you can see it in the background of this one.

Just bought one off the back of seeing this, looks class. Must be a recent change as my F83 was registered in Aug/Sep 2017 and that didn't come with the red button.

Fiver off ebay from China, doesn't seem to be any UK based sellers.

Does make you wonder what else they mod on the sly! Would be good to know if this was all documented somewhere.

Just noticed the red start button now appears on the configurator image, as well as a metal foot rest plate which I definitely didn't get?!

Picked my M4 CP up in Dec 2017 and no red button either. Just ordered one for £5 also, if no good then nothing lost I guess. Hope they spell engine start correctly? 👍
