I think the RS5 is coming and the RS4 isn't. Not sure why they keep making them wagons vs sedans with a wider appeal in one of the largest auto markets in the world.

yeah. i think the RS5 sportback thingy is coming to the US as well.

but its a pointless car. i parked next to an A5 four door and there was barely any rear passenger or trunk space. might as well keep it as a 2 door since it was so impractical. the M3 had a TON more space everywhere.

M3 has a surprising amount of room in the rear seat. More than my Wifes S4 by a good margin

hell yeah. im a midget so i sit all the way forward in front of the steering wheel. the rear space is ginormous in my seating position. my wife, who sits in the back, sprawls out like a king.

the A5 that i saw had two children car seats in the back. i dunno how the kids fit in there because there was little to no room. unless they have no legs.

According to TopSpeed "word has it" that Audi is planning for an RS4 sedan for the US. I'd take the RS4 over the RS5 any day within the B9 generation, in any shape or form.

The author of the article does not even attempt to explain why he believes the market can support both an RS4 Sedan and RS5 Sportback. In fact, he does not even mention the RS5 Sportback which is all but confirmed by spyshots of test mules. An RS4 Sedan, however, has not been spotted, yet the author never mentions this fact either. Furthermore, with the RS7 pushing the RS6 Sedan out of the US market, even if an RS4 Sedan were to materialize, it is extremely unlikely it would make it stateside.

Given all of these things together, I would suggest that this article should be treated with a high degree of skepticism. Personally, I would put the chances of an RS4 Sedan, particularly in the US, near zero.
