Talking Beijing auto show - AY M4, YMB M3

For your viewing pleasure ...

I adjusted white balance on my camera so many times to get accurate colors. I like the AY enough that I am considering switching from the MW M4 I ordered. Somehow, AY comes across as being richer and deeper than the other colors - like you look through it to the metallic core. It also has the sense of being a satin color with a glossy overlay, as opposed to just a gloss paint. That texture is a great middle ground and it looks great if you can take the color. AY also has a very slight green tint, so it's not really gold.

Based on sitting in the car, I've decided to pay up for full leather. Full black in the show car included grey stitching, for those of you who care. Nice interior details all around.

I suppose the YMB is not coming out right. This is like the most-purple-version I have seen so far... and it does not look all too good in this one.
Still sticking with it as I won't have it in artificial light a lot

Damn that place is crowded! Those 2 colors are my least favorite out of available colors. Not flattering looking at all here.

Quite like AY in these pics- YMB really makes takes the aggressiveness away from the M3 and gives it a feminine/soft look IMO.

Any M3 taken from a up angle is going to less aggressive. This isn't Aggressive?

I've seen that car live. There is no angle it doesn't look like a killer. The M4 is the softie.

Sorry guys- the baby blue of YMB looks effeminate to me as a colour. If Barbie drove an M3 it would be YMB! I haven't seen it IRL though I am only going off pics posted in he forum. This is only my opinion - I'm sure just as many people will look at the colour and love it. The colour in Tonys pic doesn't look bad but the previous photo.......

Ouch. So you knowingly decided for the softie?

I've seen both (twice), and to me the M4 looks much more aggressive and sporty. The M3 looks like the tame family man's car. People on this forum love the M3, but I just don't see it. My opinion.

Reeeeally hope that contrast stitching on the seats shows up on the production black full leather option. It seems to be that way from what I've seen.... but I don't think we've gotten any solid confirmation. That would take the sting out of choosing the "boring" black interior color.

Don't worry - the photo is definitely purplish looking - and in person it definitely does not have that purplish hue...

No, I had ordered mine already at that point, and I seriously need the car, I didn't have the luxury of time and go change my order.

Funny thing is all the women around here drive white and pearl white cars.

I swear I adjusted white balance at a granular level until what was on the camera matched what was in front of me. That said, it was under bright florescent lights indoors, so maybe it looks different outside.

YM is baby blue. Marina blue is generally a baby/sky blueish. Think of the sky how it can have a darker hue to it but generally is a baby blue color, that is it. I am not certain what color everyone is expecting it to be? I personally am not a fan of this type of color, but if I were it isn't a bad color by any means. I guess I don't know why all the back and forth about the color, in layman color term's it is baby blue, end of story.
