Is stage 3 going to be alternative fuel options/tunes? 100 Octane, E85 blend? will it be a $250 upgrade like Stage 2 was?

Bump! Any updates on Stage 3?
Also, would you guys consider a flash or a way to add the pops/burbles like VF? I really want those extras, but would like to keep the warranty!

Our CP customer car will be going back to the customer next week with aftercooler and stage 3 to put some miles on. Then we will do the same to our shop M4 once we get it back from the CP owner... so its getting closer... from preliminary data though it looks like the heat soak problem was rectified with the aftercooler. And no I don't have any #'s on stage 3. Only had a quick drive in it and it pulled a bit harder. I am sure its like the stage 3 on the N55 cars where its more about widening the power band and continuing the power longer more then peak gains.

No flash from Dinan in any near future time frame.

Releasing end of next week. Going through its paperwork trail in the building currently.

543 HP, 505 TRQ to answer your next question. Small bump in HP.

Is stage 2 possible with only the tuner; or are intake and exhaust required (for a ZCP model)?

Sure. You can run stage 2 without the associated hard parts. Just wouldn't realize all the stated gains is all.

What kind of gains are we looking at with a stage 2 and no other hard parts?
(I do have MPE).

Thanks

Without the intake you are looking at a delta of about 10 HP from the stages full potential.

We will not cover incidentals with issues related to running the turbo out of our spec with downpipes, meth, someone elses tuning solution, etc. In that case you would be on your own just like with any other vendor.

Our goal is to offer a total warrantied/legal solution. If you want to go outside of that, that is your perogative but not the intent of this package.
Just a quick question about your warranty and DP. I am thinking to get Dinan Stage2 and Dinan intake with catless DP. Based on your earlier post above, will Dinan not cover this set up, even though DP should not affect the functionality, rather should help improve air flow?

Thanks.

The tune will physically function just fine with a catless DP although it will not clear the associated CEL.

Dinan will warrant anything related to Dinan/OE parts. The downpipe would not be covered. Neither would any problems that may arise from the use of the DP. As an example if you got some random drivetrain malfunction warning (generic warning) and upon scanning the car it came back with codes relating to an O2 sensor there is a good chance it would not be warranted as that could be tied to the DP modification pretty easily.

It should also be noted that some dealers take issue with DP modifications as well and will not work on a car until the stock DP is in place. Its relatively rare at this point but I would still check with your SA about how that particular dealer reacts before going down that path. Potentially save you some hassle down the road at very least.

How are you guys getting more power out of the CP cars when the underlying hardware is the same?

Underlying hardware is the same but the factory mapping is not. Instead of just applying the same base M4 tune the tune was changed to account for those changes in the stock mapping (boost and ignition targets amongst others).

Your next question will be, "couldn't you apply the same CP mapping to a non-CP car for the same or similar results" ... technically yes but drivability would suffer and the car would ultimately be making less power. Neither of which the end user wants.

Nice! I decided to hold off on a stage 2 tune until stage 3 came out so I could save myself a trip to the only dealer I trust since they are about 1.5hr from me.

I'm interested as well, hoping to see a better gain to cost ratio first though.
